Choose a hair stylist experienced in curly/dry hair.
Have your hair stylist help you choose a hairstyle that is easy to maintain--preferably one that just requires a wet-and-go approach.
Once you have your favored style, visit your stylist at least 4 times a year to trim split ends.
Don't let your hair stylist use a razor to layer your hair (although layering is good.) Razors contribute to split ends.
Don't wash hair every day. This kind of hair needs the natural oils from your scalp to reduce frizz.
To upkeep your desired style, just wet hair with some conditioner on non-washing days (rinse thoroughly).
Avoid using hairdryers unless necessary. Blowdrying hair dries it out. If you must use a hair dryer than make sure you use a diffuser.
Believe it or not, grease, mousses and gels make caring for this kind of hair harder!! Chemical build-ups require more washing than is healthy.
If you must use products, use high-quality, health-food store or salon products that leave little residue.
Do not brush, unless you want a 'fro.
Love your hair! Many are envious of the regal quality of curly hair!
Hope this helps~

Instead of shampooing daily, cut back to once or twice a weeks and rinse the hair and apply conditioner generously daily.
Never brush dry hair, just finger comg or wide tooth comb wet hair.
Try Kiehls silk groom and silk serum; the previous on towel dried hair and the latter when the hair is nearly dry.
Get Lorraine Massey's book "curly Girl", it's made my curly hair a joy to live with finally!

This article helped with my frizz hair!! Good luck! =)
Real Hair Solutions for Big, Frizzy Hair
Hair that is too poofy and has a tendency to get frizzy can be the most frustrating of hair to deal with. After taking time to painstakingly style this hair, the possessor will often see it grow and become frizzy almost immediately. While nothing will permanently change it into the smooth flowing mane of hair that most of us dream of, using shampoos, conditioners, and styling aids designed for this type of hair will greatly improve the texture and our degree of happiness with it. Start the care of your hair with the shampoo and conditioner.
Frizzy hair almost always needs extra moisturizing. When choosing a shampoo or conditioner, look for the words smoothing, moisturizing or hydrating. These products will contain emollients to smooth the hair shaft and offer more control during styling.
After the hair is towel dried you will want to apply one or more of the many smoothing agents to be found in stores.
Smoothing serums and frizz serums aid in smoothing the hair but usually do not offer the holding quality of other products. Some of these are light in weight and can be used alone on hair that gets frizzy but becomes overly limp with more product. Others are heavy in nature and aid in controlling hair with too much body. The heavier product should be used sparingly until you have experience in its effect on your type of hair. Serums are most often applied to wet hair.
Hair crèmes are creamy in form and usually add control to the hair along with the frizz relief properties. They can be used on wet hair or worked into dry hair and provide a certain amount of hold.
Gels offer the maximum in hold and are usually better at relieving frizz than a mousse. The layering of several of these products will increase the amount of frizz control.
Reading labels, advice from your hairdresser and experimenting will help you decide which products will work best for you.
Once you have decided on the proper products pay close attention to drying and styling your hair. I prefer to apply a frizz serum and hair crème and then let my hair air dry until it is damp but not dripping wet. Actual styling will not take place until the last few minutes of drying time. Be sure to exercise control over the hair while it is drying. Concentrate on small areas and work slowly. Allowing the hair to blow around will only accentuate the unruliness. I have found that a round boar-bristle brush works best to smooth out very curly hair, leaving it with a healthy shine.
Make sure the hair is completely dry. Any moisture in the hair will cause it to revert to its frizzy texture. You may use several tools to finish your style. A one and one half inch curling iron or larger will smooth out left over unruliness and give it shape. A paddle brush used with a blow dryer will put the finishing touches on a straight style. When your hair is dried and styled, further styling and smoothing is offered by pomades and hair waxes.
Finish your style with a flexible hair spray and, even in humidity, everyday will be a "Good Hair Day".

Wash and condition and rinse your hair. Comb it out. While it's soaking wet, put in some Frizz Eaze. Comb it again and then use a heavy duty gel (like Creative Genuis) to gel it so it maintains curl instead of frizz. :) Don't mess with it too much as it dries, or it will frizz out.

hi my hair is exactly like your girls,m and its halfway down my back
n-e-ways--
i wash it about every 2 days because i straighten it with a flat iron then a curling iron, and it takes about an hour so i hate doing it everyday
okay well after i wash it put that friz ease in it by john frida and i let it air dry over night or blow dry it.
then before i straighten it i put VO5 hair oil in it and it makes it like straight nice pretty white girl hair lol
but like if you want it curly you can always wash it then ir put moose/gel and a lot of hairspray in it and blow dry on very low about 10 minutes make shur its not on high or the gel comes out, then let it air dry, very nice and stiff but you can do a lot with it like that
now just for washing it and brushing and going on with the day that dont work lol it gets frizzy /curly and wavy and looks stupid down or in a pony tail.
but that VO5 works great for frizz if your straightening

The only thing I can think of is a chemical relaxer. You should go to a hair salon that deals with african american hair. Even though your not they'll know how to deal with curly hair. You can try a Dominican hair salon too. They're the best.

What to do...
You need to give your hair lots of TLC, with product that are designed to restore your hair’s moisture level to its optimum 8%. Look for shampoos that contain natural humectants (magnet like properties to attract moisture), that will work together will your natural oils, to restore your hair’s moisture level to its optimum 8%. Treatment conditioners that contain wheat, rice or corn proteins will repair damaged cuticles, improve porosity, elasticity and general health and appearance of your hair.
Those of us with naturally curly, wavy or frizzy hair, or those of us who chemically treat our hair. Will need to give our hair extra nurturing by supplying our hair with the necessary nutrition and moisture that it needs. Chemical treatments (I.e. perms, hair dyes or bleaches.), will deplete the hair of moisture. bringing the hair moisture level own to as low as 2%. When this occurs you will start to notice split ends. If these are not repaired forthwith and the moisture level not restored to 8%, Your split ends will turn to breakage. This obviously needs to be avoided at all costs. Those of us who live in hot, sunny or arid climates; need to make sure that our hair care product contain sunscreens to protect our hair from the damaging affects of the UV rays. If not the same thing will happen as to those of use that use chemicals on our hair.
Summary... Our hair needs MOISTURE, MOISTURE, and MOISTURE! Who needs to add moisture more than most? People with naturally curly hair, chemically treated hair or people who live in hot sunny climates.
