This is a serious question. If you don't have an answer, don't bother please.
My fiancee is in Peru. Last year we were going to get married here in the United States until his obnoxious EX WIFE started problems. She is now demanding child support for their child who is now 7 . She never asked for it before. NOW she is wanting it.
My fiancee cannot leave PERU until this is cleared up.
Does anyone know of a way we can get around this to where he can pay the little rip, but still come here to the USA so we can get married?

FOR THE PERSON THAT SAYS THAT WE ARE SELFISH, THEY DO NOT KNOW THE DETAILS.SHE Said that she did not want child support from him, she just agreed to take care of the child herself,. ONCE SHE FOUND OUT THAT HE IS MARRYING AN AMERICAN SHE DID WHAT SHE COULD TO KEEP HIM THERE. THE BAD THING IS SHE WANTS NOTHING TO DO WITH HIM AND SHE SAYS THAT THE CHILD IS HER SON!!
SO THERE YOU GOT IT!
For those that like to judge.....be careful about who you call selfish unless you knokw the full details.

I am not against child support by any means. :) NO way ! So don't be thinking that, we just want him to be able to pay it and live here in America LEGALLY while he is paying her and I am just trying to find out if it's possible.

If nothing else answer it for the cat.

He had a kid--he pays. We all pay for our actions. Rather you like it or not.
You won't get around here-if you try they will arrest you and you will pay all back before you get out.
I am trying to tell you the facts here--even Driving licenses and taxes have jump on the report wagon to those who they call Dead Beat Dads.
Sorry if that sounds harsh-it is just the way it is.

If we didn't understand sorry--he can pay from here just keep a receipt. I am not sure why he can not leave unless it is a court date-than he should be able to deal with the attornies. Is that it? Or Is the amount that is an dispute?

Look at the bigger picture. You loathe his ex-wife. That's understandable. But, your husband has a child. An innocent child, who has physical and emotional needs. What kind of man doesn't pay child support, regardless if the ex asked for it or not? If he wants to get married and move on with his life, he needs to PAY! Once he pays, the both of you can go on about your merry little selfish ways. Congratulations on yoru wedding, you two deserve each other.

Did she hire an attorney? I don't know the laws in Peru, but if they are anything like ours he will have to pay the child support. If she did, your husband will have to hire one as well....Did your fiancee give up his parental rights? If so, I am not sure she can demand child support. My best advise to you is if you don't want to pay her then hire an attorney or just pay the mother....

He had a baby with this woman, she has the right at any time to ask for support. No court, anywhere, is going to deny her child support. He has to pay it, sorry. Pay it and get it done. Or move to Peru with him.

Why can't he leave Peru? I would've thought that the courts there would set a sum, and he would agree to pay it ... which can be done from the United States ... so what's stopping him going??

Try contacting the State Department or an immigration attorney and see what they say.
