There are two ends to this -
First, nice guys don't get laid. Ever notice how all the hot girls keep complaining about guys they hooked up with who turned out to be assholes? The guy who has his way with her one night, then leaves the next day and is never heard from again. Or maybe hooks up with her for a few weeks, then she finds out he has another girl on the side.
But, here's the other side. It's true that, once these girls settle down, they'll look for the nice guy. But by that time, they are in their 30s and are past their expiration date. If you've been working on your career, you can afford better!
Thats' right! Revenge is sweet for the poindexters of the world! Sure, the hot chicks ignored you for the 'bad' boys when you were younger, but now you've got BANK! Now that they want to settle down, you can blow them off, and go straight for the 20 year old hotties! Remember - The fatter the wallet, the phat'er the babes!
But why settle for one end of this game or the other? You can have it both ways. Get thee to Leykis 101! The Professor will set you straight about women.

Although young women tend to be attracted to the "bad boys," trust me when I say that when it comes time to settle down, most mature women would rather be with a nice guy who knows how to treat a lady. Although you may be feeling discouraged, trust me when I say that it is so much better to be the nice guy and eventually things will work out for you in your favor. Don't change who you are or pretend to be something you're not to attract someone as if your relationship is based on a lie, it will not last.

pahump that loser comment wasn't needed. Nice guys usually don't finish last in the end. Mean people get what is coming to them. If you are a nice guy I hope all your dreams come true!

Sometimes it is okay to finish last. Always be the nice guy unless someone else is beating up a nice guy. Then you can be the not nice guy :-)

It depends on what you're after.
If you want friends, it's great to be a nice guy.
If you want a lover, you have to be a selfish jerk.
I know it makes no sense, but this is the way it is.
