I am not sure you will get any answers from real atheists on this question, dear. Most likely you will get no response from them, or at best simply oppositional questions flung you. Most of the atheists that care to debate those things on this site are very rude.

We don't believe in Jesus for the same reason that you don't believe in Odin or Zeus or Ra or Pagan nature worship. You look at these ways of thinking and see that they are nothing but myth and metaphor. It's quite clear to you that there is not a Thunder God beating his hammer against the heavens when it rains. You know better than that. Simply put, we just take it one step further and say that there is no difference between Odin and Jehovah.
For how we think the world was made, you need only do some research on the origin of the solar system. It's all right in there.
For how we think we wake up every morning: We wake up the same as you. The only difference is that at no point during our day do we seek the approval of a supernatural being.

The atheist does have faith actually--in science, or more accurately the scientific process-->the way of knowing things by observation, hypothesis, experimentation, analysis. They do not accept "faith" as an acceptable means to know something for sure. All creation is rationalized into a scientific theory and explained away. Miracles are broken down into the mundane.
I am certain that if God did exactly what most atheists ask for--a modern day miracle that proves God's existence beyond what is scientifically possible--they, or scientists coming after them will surely use their immense brainpower (ironically, a gift from God) to explain that away too. A tiny seed develops into a giant tree, but because they know the scientific principals God used to create this miracle, all sense of wonder is lost.
Atheists are closed to any way of "knowing" that does not meet a scientific process. They will always be searching in the dark from their--yes, atheists, I mean what I say--their own closed-mindedness. Pray for them to discover that "faith" is more than a label.

So...you realize that people who don't believe in the bible won't accept it as truth then wonder why people don't' believe Jesus was Christ....you do realize that you should be able to answer the Jesus part of the question yourself by going back to your answer on why some don't accept the bible as proof of god.
I don't personally claim to have an answer on how the universe got here...but the BB started off the series of events which eventually led to evolution and all the stuff we see today. I wake up in the morning because that's now humans work...we sleep till our bodies are no longer tired (or the alarm goes off) then we wake up.

I think God is imaginary. The Bible was written by men. Jesus lived, and he was exactly as high a power as Joseph Smith and David Koresh. There are scientific explanations for how the world was created and why I wake up every morning. They do not include anything supernatural, just physics.

An old book with some nice poetry in it cannot prove anything except the existence of an old book with some nice poetry.
As for Jesus, there's no evidence of his existence apart from the story told in the bible (see above).
If you want to know how the universe came into being, get an education and find out. Hint: This means you'll have to read a lot of books, not just the bible.

I am Apostolic (kinda Pentecostal we are Charismatic) but not Pentecostal so I believe Jesus is God's son but the BB theory is still a mystery becuase where did all the elemnts come from? evolution is incomplete because they are still looking for missing links. also if things start out asexual, how they learn to become sexual? if you look at all the things it takes just to breath, eat, and pump blood i dont see how u can be atheist. also explain to me this, how can 116 elements make up something alive or even allow a thought for that matter. PLEASE EXPLAIN IF YOU HAVE ANSWER!

bible was written by people. they were just like you and me but lived many years ago. i do believe Jesus existed and that he was a man who was extraordinary but not a saint. he had an idea that we are all children of god. that was a very original idea back then. it gave people a dream that they could be free.
everything in our universe was made in Big Bang. earth was slowly created from rock pieces and we were far enough from sun not to be too cold, not too close to be burned - and after billions of years, here we are. can't you see the beauty of that? life slowly evolving, all of us being made on top of some other species and thinking that some day, a new species will evolve that will be stronger, smarter and more advanced than us. that's fascinating. all that hell, heaven and evil church put on us is just too ugly. i don't buy it.

Because the bible doesn't really prove it. You could write in a book that the dinosaurs were aliens or something, and it wouldn't make it true. I think for many people, seeing is believing, not just believing what they were told/ read. The only thing that really proves that God and Jesus exist is faith in them alone.

I'm believe the Jesus did exist but I don't believe he was anyone special. If i don't believe in God why would I even give a thought to Jesus?
I don't give a damn how the world was made. I wake up every mourning because my heart hasn't stopped yet.

It is strange to hear a question like this for me because I am an atheist and you take God as existing for granted. We are certainly the opposite ends of the spectrum.
I want to answer this question because I think it will reiterate to myself why I first came to my belief.
First I'll begin with your point that says that the bible is proof of the existence of God. I guess you see it as existence of God because it was handed down to us from him and contains the story of Jesus Christ.
At this point it is important to take note that you only make the assumption that the bible was handed down by God, an assumption that needs to be given further attention.
If you do not make the assumption that bible was a gift from god then it will quickly become evident that the book was written, edited, published by people just like us. In fact over the centuries the bible has been edited quite frequently and different interpretations often applied.
I can hear you saying that the bible wasn't handed down directly but through the apostles etc etc, well that is the type of theory that cannot be disproven and thus not even worth looking at.
We know that other gospels have been found that were not included within the bible. Why not we have to ask?
You say in the question that atheists do not believe in the bible, obviously we believe in the bible but do not make the assumptions that you as a christian are brought up to make.
I guess I believe yes there was a Jesus Christ, and he did challenge the values of the Jewish priests in power of the region at the time, but no he was not the son of God.
I'll talk quickly about a few similarites between traditional roman religion and christianity which will show some evidence of more human editing of the bible. We are all familiar with the modern day image of Jesus with his pale skin long beard and hair, we also have traditional picture of the christian god, also long hair and beard.
The population around Jerusilum was definately made up of people matchign Jesus discription back then, nor is it now. So where did these images of the long hair and beard come from?
We first see them appear after Constantine (who some regard as the final editor of the bible) in anciet Rome. You can instantly see the resemblance between the King of the Roman gods Zeus and his new replacement the christian god. Most historians acknoledge this happening for reasons of a smooth transition.
Jesus Christ the son of God is often reperesented by the sun or with a sun behind his head, centuries later this becomes the traditional halo.
Apollo or God of the Sun was the son of Zeus, is this a coincidence? It is hard to see how? Why would the christian god allow his only son Jesus to be portrayed as the Son of a Pagan god?
The bible within itself also contains a number of contradictions, something else that leads us to believe it less that Godly. I will list a few here but there are many more believe me.
PSA 145:9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
JER 13:14 And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, saith the LORD: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy them.
next
JOH 10:30 I and my Father are one.
JOH 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
next
Exod. 24:9,10; Amos 9:1; Gen. 26:2; and John 14:9
God CAN be seen:
"And I will take away my hand, and thou shalt see my backparts." (Ex. 33:23)
"And the Lord spake to Moses face to face, as a man speaketh to his friend." (Ex. 33:11)
"For I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved." (Gen. 32:30)
God CANNOT be seen:
"No man hath seen God at any time." (John 1:18)
"And he said, Thou canst not see my face; for there shall no man see me and live." (Ex. 33:20)
"Whom no man hath seen nor can see." (1 Tim. 6:16)
Ok so the point is don't make assumptions too hastily. Especially when the stories inside are not only contradictory but also highly unbelievable.
Ok so the next part of your question, who made the universe?
Once again you have taken a teaching as an assumption without looking objectively at other alternatives.
I'll just say this before I go on, throughout history when man has not been able to explain something they will inevitable attempt to through some kind of story of religious happening. I think the christian story of creation is one that can truely be dissproven. Creation theory tells us that the world is only 6000-8000 years old. We know for a FACT that the universe is billions of years old, we have ample evidence that I will not get into here. Dinosaurs alone should be enough to disprove the theory of creation.
I guess religion has always tried to explain the unexplainable or to offer hope to people. The problem is that now alot of which used to be unexplainable is explainable and religion is unable to keep up. Religion is bred into people and therefore it is hard to take things that you were always told as fact and question them.
My advice to you is to go ahead and question everything you take for granted and if you still arrive at the same conclusions you will have more respect for your beliefs than ever before.
I believe it was Karl Popper who said that if I theory tries to explain everything, and can be interpreted differently when its current interpretation is wrong. So that the theory can explain away anything that comes within its path so that it could never be proven wrong it is not a theory worth considering, it is merely a belief.
Question your beliefs.
