Family restaurant in New York City? not too many good ones....most are for tourist. I guess I would think 'Serendipity' at 60th street between 2nd & 3rd avenue would be one of the best...always with a long waiting line. They have yummy, hearty and comfort food for everyone, good portions and "mouth watering" desserts...so so so good. They are 100% kids friendly.
* only downside...no alcohol.

Carmine's serves food family style and while I haven't eaten there (two locations) trusted friends of mine love the place and want to take me there.
