This is my belief:
We are here so that God can experience God's self.
God is absolute. In this state there are no contradictions and no relativity. Everything is constant, absolute.
God knows what God is, but the knowing of a thing and the experiencing of it are two entirely different things. For example you know what ice cream is, but experiencing the taste of it is different (and SO much better) than just intellectually knowing that it is frozen cream and sugar.
God created life as we know it so that God could experience God's self in the world of relativity through us, who are each an individuation of the whole.
God does not judge us for our actions...after this physical incarnation ends we will return to the spiritual dimension and decide if we want to stay or experience another physical incarnation. This is how we serve God.

It's for loving others. It's for easing the suffering you see around you. It's for trying to make a difference because we all have such little power and if we want to stand any chance for a prosperous, peaceful future, we must help each other.
We do it to preserve the cycle of life that allows us to have the limited amount of incredible experiences we get to have in this lifetime. We do it for the future.

Perhaps you just have to find out yourself, life means differently to different people. Maybe try this, helping others find out what are the purpose of their life and the answer might be coming to you soon.

this life we live is to know that we can feel love and happiness and sorrow and pain, that we are human and can make mistakes which makes us humble and gives us faith and hope. it gives makes us find what our purpose in life is and we will when we least expect the answer to pop out. life makes us experience what it is to live in earth and how to become a person who leaves uneraseable footprints that can be remembered by others and that can be followed by others. it is leaving a mark in the hearts of those who live.

our life here on earth is to live acdg to God's will to give glory to His name,to preach the gospel so others may know and receive the salvation thru Jesus.living acdg to His purpose like serving in the church,teaching children in sunday school, member of church choir or simply setting an example to others the life that make God smile

To get our souls ready for eternal life. But we are to choose where we would like to spend eternity. In hell or in heaven.
Accept Jesus as your savior today, and invite Him into your heart and life, admitting your sins to Him and asking Him for His forgivness, and become a born again Chrsitan.
Our world that we live in is a spring board for our eternal life's existance. Live on earth is very short and temporary. God does not condem people to hell, but if they themselves reject God' son Jesus as their savior,and repent of their sins, they themselves condemmed them selves to hell.
Accept Jesus as your savior today, because Jesus is coming back in our life time. Don't be among those who are left behind.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
