why do ppl hate sk8ters so much?

because, being a skater i feel the hate, they are just scared of us, here check this...us skaters are at peek physical condition, we have abilities to move in different ways than others(there just jealus of that, lol), we have all the gangsta's on are side(no really we got the bloods on our side here where i come from!). i think the ppl that hate skaters first started gettin skared when mike V knocked out 6 preps in under 30 seconds! they are just jeleaus, and about our better abilities, one of my friends somehow got on top of a three story building on the outside just by climbing up other building and jumpin on to uthers to get up there.

I am 37 years old... I own a skate shop. So here's a adults point of view (with some bias).

The segment of people that DISLIKE sk8ters are the ones that have watched punk kids tear stuff up and make a bad name for everyone else. It's called sterotype-ing. GET USED TO IT... When I was a kid I had long hair, I couldn;t get a job at McDonalds because I was sterotyped.

I'm not saying it's right.... but it's a fact of life in this day and age... anyone that doesn't see that is living a lie.

There is an old saying "One bad apple ruins it for the rest".

If you are a sk8ter and you get some sort of bad vibe from a cop or the old man down the street... stop and talk to em for a minute or two just so they know YOU aren't that bad apple.... then again... maybe you ARE the bad apple and don't know it. ;-)

I don't hate sk8ters... but being an innocent bystander and getting hit on the shin by a runaway board is very painful... ;P

Oh, I love skaters!! I admire how they flip their boards or grind on just about everything and how they do all those tricks in the half pipe (that's the right term I hope).

But that wasn't your question...some people find them to be disrupting and/or dangerous. Also, what they do with the boards might tear things up.

I dont hate skaters, I think most people dont even really care if you are skater as long as you arnt tresspassing or breaking their stuff.
