what about about the other religons that have been around hundreds (possibly thousands) of years before? I dont mean to sound like im attacking christianity, but what makes you negate everything that they have taught for thousands of years? Do you think your religon is superior to theirs?

We don't negate "everything" they have taught. Many other religions have things that they teach that are good: be nice, don't kill, don't steal, don't lie... all good things.

The problem comes in that all the other religions are about "doing" -- meaning you have to "do" something to get something: "be good/work hard/treat people nice" and you can get to "heaven/enlightement/ascension/reincarnated/whatever"

All the other religions are about "doing" things. Christianity differes in that it is about "done" -- meaning that we believe that there is nothing we can do, no way we can live our life, no act, no gift--nothing that can make up for the blot of sin on our lives. Our belief is that Christ is the Son of God--both Wholly God an wholly man all at the same time--and He who lived the perfect life died for us even though He did not have to.

Christians believe that our faith is about "DONE" and all other faiths/religions are about "DOING"

That's the difference.

It was believed for hundreds of years that the sun revolved around the earth, until Galileo discovered the truth. Should we continue to believe what was taught for hundreds of years before, even though the truth was revealed? Christianity is both inclusive and exclusive. We are inclusive in that all are welcomed in, no matter how bad you may have been, as long you receive Christ as your Savior and accept the teachings of Scripture. We are exclusive in that we do not accept the teachings of other belief systems, besides Judaism, as truth. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me." Jesus made it exclusive. Either you go through Him, or not at all.

I take no religion that lives by the bible,as they take a sentence from the book of stories and try to make others live by that statement made during a totally different situation. Then go out and do something bad,go to church on sunday, pray and make everything all better again for themselves. I like pagan/wicaan and the american indian styles.I do not feel superior.

Why would we subscribe to the Christian philosophy if we didnt?

I also belive that the Sun moves across the sky because of the Earth's gravitational orbit around it, even though this means negating much older theories concerning Apollo and his Chariot.

Jesus Christ is Jehovah God in a visible body called the Divine Human form. The Son of God refers to the Divine Human.

Why attack Christianity... All religions do the same thing.

Christianity negates other religions just like other religions negate Christianity... what difference does it make...

Christians think they have the answers just like Muslims think they have the answers and just like Jews think they have the answers and just like Catholics think they have the answers and just like Hindus think they have the answers, etc. etc.

Well, turn that around on any religion. Say you are a Hindu, an older religion. What makes you think it is "right"? Older doesn't mean better; it just means older. Any religion believes it is right for the same reason; their faith has told them they're right.

Try one, Die and see what happens.

That is the only way to ever get the answer.

With that in mind, I think I will stay with my faith in Christ.
