I'm sooo depressed. I don't think I have any use for myself in the near future. I feel really useless and don't know what to do. I'm just so lost in this life....in time. I feel like there's no hope for anything. I can't see a therapist, they're too expensive and I don't trust them. Does anyone know a good remedy to cure depression, I've been depressed for way too long and I don't know how much longer I can take it. Or does anyone know how to read my future? For free? I'm broke too....but I do have a job that treats me like crap for minimum wage......but I also have bills, bills, bills.....good ol' bills......faithfull bills that never leave my side.

I thank you all for taking the time out to help give advice to lifeless girl. I don't know whats gonna happen, I think I'll just melt away and pretend I've never existed. I just really, really have no motivation for anything at all left in me. No motivation for the future or present. But thanks anyway.....I tried, so please don't tell me I didn't.

A lot of counselors have sliding scales for low income people. Don't give up, check it out. If they can't help you they will give you a list of community programs that help with low income also. There are also government fundings that you can check out. Try the Internet. Don't judge all therapists or psychiatrists just because of here say or maybe a bad situation. I had to go through a few before I found the ones that I was comfortable. It doesn't make much sense to me that you would not trust trained professionals but you would people you don't even know or fortunetellers. There is also crisis numbers usually 800 toll free that can get you on the right track. You might as well accept that bills will always be there but you'll be able to handle what life throws at you if you are healthy.

You should call a therapist or counselor. If the reason you don't trust them is because you've had a bad experience in the past, keep trying. Just like any other profession, there are good therapists and not-so-good therapists. Keep trying until you find one that suits you.
Another thing you might try is planning something for the future; make a goal and work towards it. It could be something simple, like being in a marathon, but you might find that having a goal in life will make you feel more useful and less depressed.
One last bit of advice: do volunteer work. You can work with children or the elderly...or even animals. You'll find that the people you work with really appreciate what you do, and there will be self satisfaction in knowing that you are needed.
Best of luck to you.

For what I can see the better solution is to let God take you in his arms. I'm a Christian (not the best one but yet I do believe entirely in God and Heaven and also in Satan and Hell). If you kill yourself you're gonna be worst than you are now 'cause you won't have a chance to meet God in the future and to live by his side for the eternity when the time comes. So, if you don't trust therapists (which I think you should, I'm studying to be a Psychologist in the future) go to get spiritual therapy with a priest or even better a spiritual counselor. Anyway, I'm good with listening (in this case reading) so if you need someone to talk your problems with you can send me a messange anytime. I just want you to know that there are people in worst situations than yours and suicide is not and will never be an option.

I don't know where you live, but there are free clinics you can go to.
There are also "institutions" that you can check yourself into that will evaluate you, and put you on the proper medications.
Also, if you are making under a certain amount of money per month, you may try to receive Government assistance as in medicare or medicaid so that you CAN afford to go see a doctor.
If you are not able to do any of that, I hear that St. John's Wort works well for depression. But, I am not a doctor, and have not tried it for myself.
Go to WebMD and look it up, see if you think it's worth a shot.
Please don't depend on anyone " reading your future ". You are liable to get too many people on here that will say just about anything.
Good luck and God bless you. You will be in my prayers tonight.

I'm not gonna say I know how you feel because I really don't (& I hate when ppl say that to me_every case is different), but I can definetely relate myself with ur situation...I mean, I don't have any bills_yet_but I always feel down (mostly because I have no friends and there's always something wrong_it seems like a conspiracy because every time something good happens, something bad also happens almost immediatly) and, although I hate being sad, I just can't help it...
But I don't think suicide would be a good idea...just think of the person who has it worse than you do...
Hey, just in case you need someone to talk to, feel free to contact me ;)
Take Care :)

Hi. Sorry to hear you are blue. Listen, I am a Mental Health Clinician, and most graduate studies psychology students work in the campus counseling center treating indigent citizens in the local community for free. Find out what large university you are near, and determine if they have a campus counseling center that does free counseling to the poor. It's free and completely confidential. Good luck.

I know that feeling all too well. I've been in therapy though and it's helped a bunch. If you can't afford it, does your state have a state health plan like medicaid or something that you could get on? That's what I'm on because I'm on disability due to my depression. If you can get on some sort of program like that, I think you should give therapy a try. What do you have to lose?

been there...never did therapy either...didn't feel like seeing ppl let alone a therapist...went through a bankrupcy, gained lots of weight, almost got divorced and so on...the way I got out of it was...woke myself up early for about a week no matter what!!!...when sun came up I went for a half hour walk, then pushed for an hour which in turn let me fall asleep sooner at night, got myself where I was finally sleeping at night again... key to kicking depression is a good night sleep, morning air, evening air, some sun during the day as it is an aphrodesiak(ok I can't spell) ...and if you like pineapples, eat some after your meals...it does wonders...good luck
