No. Anyone giving away millions of dollars without people buying tickets would't stay in business. It is a form of phishing. They are looking for someone silly enough to send them their bank account details and clean them out.

It's doubtful there ever IS a winner. They're a scam from the word go. If you respond to one, you'll be told that you're winning number will be forwarded to some agent who will see that your money is transfered to one of two or three banks, and, Oh, by the way, to have he loot sent to you, or wired to your bank will require that you pay a fee. They'll say that the "rules" prohibit them from taking the fee out of your winnings. After some more rig-a-ma-roll, they'll e-mail to say that the transfer fee has to be paid before they can release you money. No telling what they make off people who really believe they're going to get a check for umpty million dollars.

Nope. They're just scams - like all the other junk email you've been getting. Don't bother to reply to them, or even read them - unless you did buy a lottery ticket for that lottery. Just mark them as spam.

will tell you the same as ive told others...yes its a scam...1.to make you part with money,2,what others forget to mention is that before they ask for your money they want your name, address etc etc, why,so they can take on your identity, its the oldest trick in the book, and the easiest scam to pull,so just bin it and all the others you will recieve...if you want to play the lottery online either go to national-lottery.co.uk or if you want to play in a syndicate check out www.v-w-d.com/85182js both of which obviously are 100% genuine

Foreign lotteries are a scam...go to truth or fiction.com and check it out. Legitimate lotteries do not send someone an e-mail.

They usually ask for you to send money for administration fees so they can send you the prize. if you do that's the last you will hear from them, and your money.
