I have been out of college for a decade and have wanted to travel more. In ten years, I managed to get out of country on five occasions. It sounds great, I guess, but those five trips only totaled about three months. I want more. I want more time to travel. At least two months would be enough time per year. I have thought of jobs like teaching, but I would like some other suggestions from those of you who have figured out how to regain your personal time without having to become a millionaire.

You basically want a job with an international company, and your job should be something that interacts with customers but not just individuals. You want a job where you interact with department heads, managers, people with purchasing power, or highly skilled professionals such as attorneys, IT/technical staff, budget analysts, public relations folks, etc. I'm not sure what your degree is in but you are (I hope!!!) and can see if you can market that skill to a global company. I'm a software engineer and I travel all the time, mostly domestic but do get out of the country on occasion. Keep in mind, it will probably be a while before you're allowed to go on travel regularly; the company has to build up their trust in you before they turn you loose on foreign soil with the corporate card!
