I take it your talking about christianity.
There was a time when the Jewish people had a matriarchal society and the name of their gods were feminine.trying to run a nation with just one sex as the leader didn't work . and the males took over and turned it into a patriarchal society and changed the names of the gods to male names. and just like the matriarchal society the opposite sex was but in an inferior position with most of the names forgotten or erased from written records.
only when the balance is equal will a society work out better.
if you read the earlier accounts pre or after creation the creator speaks of its self in the plural(we and us) . so it knows duality. even though it is also called the self made one as one of its titles.
so it depends on what phase a society is in as to whither the creator is thought of as female(in ascension with males second) or male( with females in the secondary position).

Swedenborg the seer said that God is very Man. I would be interested in theories as to why. The truth as clothing the good perhaps. I think that is the correct symbolism. God is a marriage of Good and Truth and God really has the essence of both male and female.

Sopheia = Wisdom is the consort of the Father. The Holy Spirit seems most feminine of the Trinity, to me. No, the One-God, the Fun-God, He's most assuredly, the Trogoautoegocrat himself, all-male, all and evermore male. But if you want to cut me off a piece, then sure, God can be female.

God is neither male nor female - He is God. Although we say, "Our Father, which art in Heaven", etc. He may be referring that we think of Him as a father would to a child. Remember, He gave us this prayer as an EXAMPLE of how to pray. God loves women and men alike because He is no respecter of persons. There is no archaeological evidence of God's existence because He rose from the dead in the form of Jesus. He can take on ANY form that he desires whenever necessary. Thank you for your question.

THE CREATOR is a FLAMING FIRE, and then the FATHER and the SON took on Human Bodie's, of which WE were made in the Image and Likeness of.
WE are not CREATOR's.
The CREATOR made Adam, then Eve outta Adam.
The Creator is Higher than Male or Female, cause that's what HE is, HIGHER. I really don't know if we will ever be able to Understand this. I don't know if WE can model all HE is in our Mind's.
HE is too Powerful and too Knowledgeable.

I like to beleive that God is neither and both simultaneously. After all, God created humanity in His own image. Humanity contains both man and women. Therefore,God is both, or conversley, one could say that God is neither, for we are not perfect, nor complete. Based on that, one could say that God is neither gender for God is assumed perfect and complete. Either way, I think it depends on what one percieves of God. Even though the fact that people prefer to call God the Father, people are simply referring to the higher rank in a family, i think, because God intended for every human to be part of a family. Fathers are the head of the family, are they not? Well, unless there is no Father.

PLEASE READ
Luke 1:30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
1:32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
1:33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
1John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
HIM HIM HIM
Nowhere does it say her

There is no archaeological evidence for god PERIOD, let alone that it was a woman or a man. Ask any reputable archaeologist.
Go ahead and believe it on faith but don't drag science through the mud and pretend it's proven your superstitions. It's done nothing but disprove.

That's just ridiculous.
God is neither man nor woman.
God is God. There's only one, and he (forgive the term he but when gender is unknown it is common to use the male form since we don't really want to call God an it because "it" is used to degrade usually) is completely unique and genderless.
There.
