Associated with Lucifer and the planet Venus. Perhaps because in the morning of the world, when Lucifer was the brightest and most glorious of all the angels in heaven, he shone like the morning star, Venus, shines to this day in the early morning skies. Now, it is said that Lucifer's only light is a dim immitation of the light he once wore as chief of all the angels.

Yes he is called many names. I think you mean The Bright and Morning Star. Lucifer, Satan, The Devil. Satan was called The Bright and Morning Star because he was once one of God's angles until he was kicked out of heaven.

the morning star name can be referring to lucifer ( see the LUCIFER comic series by Vertigo).

Lucifer on the other hand can be another name for SATAN. However, in the Comic Hellblazer, and LUCIFER, SATAN was the snake in the adam and eve story, he was called the ADVERSARY. Allegedly, he was already in "hell" before lucifer. Can't remember exact details but more or less its like that

I think Lucifer was called the Son of the Morning before he was kicked out of heaven. It's in the King James Version, Isaiah 14:12

Morning Star was a status from where Satan fell. Not his name nor what he is.

Jesus is the Bright and Morning Star. Satan was a morning star as in he used to radiate glory until he rebelled against God.

i believe lucifer is the ususal attribution. the name means light bringer, and, as far as i know, has nothing to do with the so called devil. the morning star is venus as i recall. check out mythology and metaphysics in the area. much of the info predates the "desert religions" and, thus, has significant depth and meaning. (just kidding?)

Lucifer is "The Morning Star", and the "Light Bringer"; light being wisdom as light shining into dark (ignorant) places.

Revelation 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, [and] the bright and morning star.
