I would like to make my first date with a young lady that i've been t alking to for a few weeks.I'm a man of few words and i'm not very emotional as far as romancing and the age difference is about 14 years. What could a 45 year old and a 31 year find to talk about on a date? And what things can we do together to keep us both interested?I don't drink and i don't go out a lot so i don't know if we'll find much in common to talk about.

Ask her about herself. Everyone's favorite topic.
Honor her at a nice place.

I'm white, but I'll comment. Be yourself. Make reservations at a nice (not most expensive) restaurant that serves a variety of food in the trendy part of your town, if you have a trendy part, then take a little walk and maybe get some coffee. Most women are yakkety, yakking all the time so I wouldn't worry too much about conversation, but what have you been talking about for the last few weeks. Obviously, don't cuss or spit, but shave, get your hair cut, wear a button shirt and dress pants and shoes. Be polite, but not overly so. I hope you have a great time. Good luck.

You've obviously have things in common if you all have been talking for a few weeks, so it's probably not as hard as you may think. Since you don't go out much, maybe you can try asking her what she would like to do. Also, dinner and a movie is always a safe choice.

The same thing a white girl would expect a man to say....all the right things there's no difference.

The same things you would say to anyone else. You don't need to have a script just because she's black. Why make a difference? Just be yourself, and you'll be just fine!!

sounds like you have yourself convinced that all is doomed

if she has "pushed" for this date, then kindly back out

if you want to do this, then ask her about her interests and what she likes to do...maybe you both have something in common.

You wont know until you try....if it doesn't work out, at least you tried once, right?

The same thing a white person does, I'm sure.

Take her to a fun place and you'll be ok. Dress sharp, be civilized, pay attention to her, that's about all anyone can do.
