try another keyboard... if it still does the same thing.. then someone may have re-mapped your keys... but i personally think its just your keyboard...

when you say.. "restarted" do you mean you restarted your computer... meaning, going to the start button and choosing "Turn off computer" and then choosing "Restart"???

or

do you mean you Re-Installed Windows?... because a lot of computer iliterate people refer to "formating and re-installing" windows as .."restarted" lol...

but anyways.... if you reformated and reinstalled windows... and you also bought a new keyboard.... and its still doing the same thing... then i would have to say you are full of S.H.I.T lol

LOL! Okay, sweetie...not laughing at you, but at a line I could say that would be quite naughty!

Anyway, have you tried rebooting? And if yes, and it's still doing it, then it's possible you might need a new keyboard. Depending on the kind you have, if you've spilled something on it, and it's not protected under the keys (like mine is with a "rubber mat"), then it might be the wiring is messed up a bit.

Try the rebooting if you haven't, and if you have....then keyboards are only about 25 dollars....pretty cheap for a basic one, and most made today are protected against spills, etc. (thank goodness-my daughter eats and drinks around mine all the time!)

Go to Start\Settings\Control Panel\Language and Regional Settings and make sure the keyboard is set to your language and layout.

Restart your computer, perhaps your keyboard is corrupted, so buy a new keyboard.

Or use AutoHotKeys to remap to appropriate settings.

Is the num-lock on? You must have a laptop.

reboot. Might be a driver or could be something worse but it might just stop if you reboot.
