You have no idea how much mothers care about their kids. They love their kids so much it hurts them. They are not forced to at all. Sometimes, it seems like they don't care but believe me....if anything happened to you, your mother would die inside! The problem is...mothers want to teach their kids life lessons. And everything we do is a life lesson. In order for you to grow up into a decent and respectable adult, your parents must mold you and teach you! Your mom only wants the best for you, even if it seems you are getting crapped on. Believe me, you aren't. And if your mother doesn't care about you, than there is something very wrong with her.

I'd answer that being someone's parent doesn't automatically force one to care for your child. There are many mothers (and fathers) out there who simply abandon, starve, beat, abuse, molest, rape, torture, or kill their children. If a mother cares about you, it's not because she's "forced" to because, if you really think about it, it's not possible. Either she cares or she doesn't. Even if she cares a little bit, she still cares.
I think most mothers do care about their children. It's a biological drive which is transformed to an actual perceived emotion because unlike animals, humans have the ability to distinguish between pure instinct and emotions or the choice to convey emotion. We are conscious therefore we are human.
If you're asking on a personal level, then I'd say your mother cares about you simply based on the tone of your question. She's probalby done something like not let you go to a party or see a boy or borrow the car. But think about it. Maybe she's worried about drugs at the party, or that the boy may be a raping psycho, or that a dog might run in front of you and make you crash the car (and hurt yourself). I can't believe I'm saying this, but for the majority of the time, mothers have pretty good reasons behind their annoying little actions.

Theres said to be connection made between a mother and child in the first few months of the childs birth, but sometimes if time isn't spent together enough that bond isn't made, or if either party has a problem. Some are because they are your parents, but what about dads? I spent a lot of time with my mother as a baby, but that doesn't necessarily mean she cares, its all dependent on the situation

The majority of parents instinctively love their own children-for a mother who carries a child in the womb, the connection or bond is beyond words. Father's have an equally similar bond but it is the mother who nurtures and the father who protects.
I know a rare few parents do not parent well and this is usually because of a preexisting problem such a drug use or poor family dynamics/environment. Hope this is helpful

I am a mother, and I can't imagine having to be forced into caring for my children. Some days it's harder to like them, but the love is ALWAYS real.

Most mothers care about thier kids. They have that special bond because for 9 months you were inside them growing. Sometimes mothers just dont know how to show that they love you.

As a PARNET (sp) I care about my children very much! Your PARENTS (proper spelling) love you.
Your Mother would kill herself rather than see you hurt in any way she could stop!

No matter who a person is to you, love is not forced, a mother that didn't care, would have given the baby up, or tried to run that child life, ect. A person is simply a person, no matter what their title is!

I am a mother and would die for my kids. My husband and I care very much for our kids and we are even going to take classes to be foster parents to those who have parents that really don't care about their kids.
