The Vietnamese war is sometimes referred to as the 10,000 Day war, going back to when the French moved back in after World War II and going until the US left in 1975. But that is still only about 40 years, though

You are probably going to say the Cold War!
Korea began on June 25, 1950 and is still not over so that is 56 on Jun 25! Cease fire began in Jul 1953!
The 100 year war lasted 116 years.
The Aceh war has been , or was, going in since 1976. It was inspired by US military policies in Southeast Asia
It is interesting that they call Vietnam the Longest US War, and perhaps it was in terms of actual combat, though Korea is still not over technically!

It is a war still going on between Burma & The Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA). Searching for freedom & unwilling to give up KNLA still fights, this is year 58.

I guess you could say the cold war started in 48? Communist China was established in what 49 & tested the bomb a couple years later? Not sure what you're looking for, but the fact that you're looking for a specific answer as though this is trivia annoys me.
