Chinese religious beliefs and practices are too varied to be boxed into a question such as this. Just as their are a large number of dialects of the Chinese language, so too do the religious beliefs sway around the country.

well if i am not wrong the buddha before he found buddhism he is a hindu.. and if i am not wrong again if a chinese want to pray,they can prey at a Hindu temple
