She is 22 months old and has a lot of bladder control already. She started doing 'peepee' on the potty in January and it was a slow go, but now she is doing extremely well. Most times her pull ups are dry during the day and she goes on the potty, she can go almost every night without an accident and can wait until the morning when she wakes up to go on the potty.

However, she never wants to do 'poopie' on the potty. I ask her to tell me when she has to do it, but she never does, she tells me as soon as she poops in her pullup, but how do I get her to tell me right before? Is this something that will come naturally over time or do I need to do something differently to help her along?

Give it time! She will come to a place eventually where she is interested and start using the potty. I've been frustrated with my daughter who does really well for awhile and then regresses, so i am constantly telling myself, just be patient, she'll get past it. The one thing I've learned is, potty training doesn't just get finished once they learn, it's more like steps forward and backward for quite a while.

Learn her pattern. At what time does she usually have to poop. If you can figure out her pattern then you should put her on the potty at this same time everyday and do not let her off until she poops. as time goes on she will grasp the concept ans will get better at it. Good luck.
Next month I am going to start training my daughter she is 17 months. I started my son at 12 months and he was easy.

When my daughter started using the potty we offered hershey kisses as rewards when she attempted to go 'poopie' on the potty. We refered to them as poopie candy and she began to want to try and eventually she was just doing it on her own.

Just be patient, the problem is going to be ok after a little more time... meanwhile control the kind of food she eats that it can't make her 'poopie" wetty !!!

My husband took our son to the toilet every time he went #1 and #2. He was trained in three days. We also got very excited when he decided to "do what Daddy did". Good luck

It is quite hard for some people to poop on the potty. Try having her poop in it instead. Its much easier.

your pushing too hard on a 22mo baby don't worry. if she is still sneaking off to her "spot" to do it at three take the diaper away.
