I think we need to bring them all home. I'm tired of all of the killing. Iraq isn't worth it, and never was.

Cause free people have a responsibility to opressed people all the time, especially when it's hard & hurts the most. If we leave now, the fighting there between sunni & shite will explode. At first it will be supported by countries on each side of that equation, then it will spread to those countries (these were the goald al Queada in Iraq was trying to accomplish). The Kurds will break away & incite revolution from significant Kurdish populations in Iran, Turkey, Jordan, & Syria seeking to claim territory from each to establish their own ethnic nation. The mass genocide that will ensure across the region will destroy Israel, but not before several nuclear weapons are launched on Cairo & Dumascus for starters. Chemical weapons will be used in mass. At some point along this process the world will intervene correct? When that happens we'll have to send 5 times the number of troops we have now to stand between the parties, just like we're doing now. The day-to-day violence will be much worse, & the death toll just on our side (not to mention theirs) will be 10 times higher than what it would be if we just stay & get the job done.

On the other hand, if we stay & create a free democracy with modern education & protection of rights, then surronding populations will demand the same rights from their govts & will get them thru reform or revolution. In a mid-east culturally changed & modernized thru democracy & respecting of religion, th next generation will be raised & unwilliing to listen to the cultish teaching of people like bin Laden. You can't defeat the tactic of terrorism & you can't defeat an idea itself, but you can change the audience that now sympathizes with it, and that's how you win the war on terror & create peace in the middle east. That's a pretty good reason to fight for. You wanna take your canadians home that's fine. We appreciate your service so far & thank you. But, the numbers you have deployed right now are so small we'd barely notice if you left. We can take the load if you need a break, or just send your guys exclusively to Afghanistan under NATO command where things are not so cloudy. He who dares wins! He who doesn't dies! That goes for countries too, and I don't just mean Iraq.

no canadians don't give up a fight that easy we aren't like the americans that wouldn't get into world war one or two until they got attacked. we see a people in distress and we go to their aid. and that includes the Americans. we have much more pride then that. plus the americans are leaving afghanistan. they have decided that it's in their best interest to let others fight their battles. or maybe their still looking for imaginary WMD's in Iraq. but it doesn't matter. we need to help the afghani's from being taken over by the taliban again to make sure that they don't suffer again. also that our allies are safe from terrorist.

French are always the first to leave Canadians seem to always be second.

How about the fact that the terrorists from 9/11 got into the US by going through Canada?

Why not stop the war, and while we're at it, try and stop the holy wars that have been raging for thousands of years, so that our future generations can live in peace without threat of war and terror? I think THAT is why our men should die for them. It's probably the best cause out there

Of course we have a chip on our shoulder - you guys have free health care. Our health care costs us an arm and a leg. :)

Seriously, though - I think we all want our troops to come home. It's not just a canadian thing. Look at Cindy Sheehan - she wants it so bad she's on a 2 month hunger strike.

Who are you bringing home? According to Canadian newspapers in March 2006, you had 31 soldiers in Iraq, you have 5500 US & British deserters. It sounds like Canada is doing its job bringing people home. Military cowards are always welcome to live in Canada. We buy more of your exports than anyone & you repay us by harboring war criminals. I doubt your 31 soldiers are in a lot of danger, the majority are in headquarters in Iraq, only a few are in the field.
