Bad for you in what way?

My son's school work has suffered a great deal since he started smoking pot again. The marijuana has affected his motivation so that he doesn't care that he may not graduate. That's certainly not good.

It does cause short term memory loss, so not a good idea if you are in school or something like that.
Today's pot is often laced with who knows what, so that could be a problem.
And it can often lead to stronger type of drug use for the weak minded.
In general, it is probably safer than alcohol and not addicting.
Everything in Moderation.

no its not. well physically its better not to smoke of course just because of the fact that your putting smoke in your lungs. but alcohol is much worse have you ever heard of someone bieng violent while smoking pot? smoking every now and then will not affect you physically or mentally whatsoever. of course if your high 24/7 well that doesnt work for everyone.. anyway, honestly pot is NOT that bad for u.

i'm not sure about other reasons, but I know that pot is bad for you because YOU ARE BREATHING IN SMOKE! SMOKE IS NOT GOOD FOR YOU! I dont' care if it's cigarette smoke, marijuana smoke, or even smoke from a burning building, it is all bad for you, and they will all give you cancer. Besides, potheads are notorious for being stupid, don't be a pothead. However, i think smoking pot for medical reasons such as epilepsy is okay, because they have no other choice.

I don't think it's any worse for you than, eating too much, which can make you obese, sleeping too much which can make you tired than you were before you went to sleep, running too much which in the long run can mess up your knees, watching T.V. too close which can mess up your eyes. It all boils down to, too much of anything is not good for you. As long as it is not addictive like cigarettes and alcohol use in moderation and you will be fine. But remember it is illegal. Which means the government doesn't know how to tax it so they won't allow you to use it. You will go to jail if caught. Oh! I forgot to mention, don't use that blunt with it now that's a killer, I mean not literally but it is tobacco which like cigarettes they are not good for you.

There are no studies that are unbiased as most 'pot' smokers also smoke tobacco. It is used medicinally. It works as a bronchiodilator and can help ease the pain and increase appetite in cancer patients, also used for glaucoma patients.

It's certainly not good for you, but if you are looking for some sort of mental release, it is (in my opinion and experience) a hell of a lot safer for you than cigarettes (tobacco) or alcohol. I think the only reason marijuana is still illegal is because the government hasn't found a feasible way to regulate it's growth and sale like they do with tobacco and alcohol. But with any kind of drug (the above 3 is all you really ought to do (AS AN ADULT), and use them wisely and in moderation, please!!!)

It's probably not any worse than any of the other toxins that we are actually allowed to consume, and it's certainly not as bad as some other illegal substances.
