Just do the things that you like to do and you will meet the people that like to do the same. Join a church or club. You can always meet people when you shop. Smile and say hello to you new neighbors. Lots of ways to meet people in a new city.

Just be yourself... let people see the real you... open up. Say what you mean... & mean what you say. Actions are a good thing too...but remember, the golden rule. Treat ppl the way you want to be treated. Most men are shy. The ones that are not afraid to be rejected are the men that have to understand that women today are independant... so learn to deal with that.... after this you should understand we have a mind of our own & we are not afraid to use it. the best way to meet knew people is to always be around go places do things have fun with a good attitude ,and stay alert never let your senses or guard down.

join groups... just don't join a group only to meet people.. join something that you enjoy doing or wish to learn more about - so that your involvement is genuine.
It's almost impossible to meet good friends or serious dates while out at bars... it's too noisy and people have their guard up, unless they are wasted..
joining a cooking class, a kayaking group, will instantly expand your group of friends. good luck!
