It will only slow her down for a few hours....until she figures out how to adapt to it. If it takes longer try books, coloring books, play dough at the kitchen table, a favorite TV show.

kids at that age are so resiliant she'll be so used to it in no time..in the mean time just do the things you normally do..read to her...buy her a new toy or activity to do she's never seen before...you'll think of lots of things..really her routi4ne shouldnt have to be altered that much. keep things as normal as possible and she wont be "shaken up" by the cast.. :)

She can and will amuse herself. I would get motor skill toys that keep her hands busy and musical light toys. 3 wks past quick and you may develop your musical talent.

lots of coloring books maybe....and maybe let her draw on the cast itself.....read to her a bunch. and a lot of normal toys for her age she can do while sitting still..
