if its Japanese style chicken (Japanese people DO eat chicken after all...) then I don't see the problem
if you go and order like a chicken kiev or western style chicken though... that kind of defeats the point of going to a Japanese restaurant, why not just go somewhere else?

the person doing the insulting is pretentious.
japanese people love chicken. thats why its on the menu.
