I did not with my first because I was scared. My second was a preemie and had to be tube fed but I expressed. My third I did and I did it for about 8 months. I enjoyed it very much once the awkward first week or so was over. I really miss it and now that we are finished having children it is one thing I will miss never being able to do again.

I tried to breast feed for the first 2 months but she never could get the hang of things. Hurts like hell! I did not enjoy it we were both very frustrated. I knew how it was supposed to work because the hospital nurses were always in there trying to get her to latch on, even gave me a nipple shield. I finally went to pumping and we were both a lot happier after that. Plus she got the benefits of breast milk. I will try it again the next time around.

I did. For about a year. First 4 months exclusively breast milk. Is it enjoyable? Umm, for the first month no. That's how long you have to put into it before you and the baby get a rhythm going, and until your nipples are tough (but supple) enough to do it without cracking or bleeding. If you crack (freaking HURTS!!!) use a product called Lanisoh. At the drug store.
So once we were both used to it, it was bliss. For her, it's comfort and food at once. For you it's a closeness you cant' get anywhere else.
Word of caution though, invest in a couple good nursing bras (they're expensive), bring blankets (you'll need discretion in a shopping mall or say, on a bus!!), and get used to whipping them out in public despite stupid comments by ignorant people.
You're giving your child the absolute best. It's natural, cheap, and better for them than formula. Animals nurse their young. You don't see em all drinking cow's milk...
That's all. Good Luck!!

I nursed my first girl till she was just over 3, and then I got sick of it. I am still nursing my second girl, and she is 3 1/2 and I am sick of it. It wasnt ever a problem for me, but it is something everyone in my family did (aunts, cousins, mom) and I grew up with it being normal when it wasnt so normal to society. I wouldnt "spiritualize" the experience, but I never considered not breastfeeding, and I usually enjoyed the time with my babies. It helped that they were fast nursers and I produced lots of milk, so I didnt have to spend 30-45 minutes per feeding. More like 8-10.

My wife enjoyed breastfeeding (although when she had to use a breast pump, she wished she had the electric one over the manual).
She could only do it for six months when our first child just refused her one day. That was a rather devastating moment for her.
Our second child did it for almost a year, but the wife had to stop when she got some early teeth and bit into her.
She said it made her feel like a real woman.

Yes, for the first 13 months of my sons lives.
Yes, I enjoyed it. It was so convenient especially for night time feedings. I didn't have to worry about packing any bottles to take with me for outings. It was great. Plus, It added two cups sizes. I would definitely do it again if I were planning to have any more children, which I'm not.

breastfeeding is best. personally, I don't enjoy it but I have to because nature intended it every woman has to breastfeed if she can its the best food a baby can get!
I breastfed my first 1year and 10 months I'm planning on breastfeeding my second for 2 years this time.Breastmilk makes the baby smart and in some cases it prevents the woman for having breast cancer.

I breast fed both of my children, one for three months, he was colicky and had to go onto a soy formula and the other for nine months, his biting got to be too much. It is clean, convenient, cheap, helps drop off that baby weight and the bond that comes from the closeness and time spent together is an incredible part of motherhood. I would do it again.

Yes, with my son, 1 year, and with my daughter 10 months. I loved it, enjoyed it, wouldn't change a thing and would do it again! I had the double electric breast pump too, and it was great! Good luck!
