First, Let me say thank goodness you are married and not just living together as so many do today. Secondly, it is simple, you simply tell him the truth. You and daddy were making love because that is a privilege that married people have. And out of that love sometimes comes wonderful surprises like him.

Peace & Blessings

A hundred years ago when most people lived on farms, there was no big mystery about sex. Little kids saw the cows giving birth, and the dogs humping, and understood what was happening as soon as they were able to. I'm not sure why nowadays we think it is important to keep them "innocent" for so long.

In answer to your question, I would just be careful not to give out more information than the kid needs. If the kid asks a question, just answer it, but you don't have to give a long-winded explanation. For example, "what were you doing, mommy and daddy?" Answer: "We were making love." Oh, ok. The kid might be satisfied with that.

Having said that, I remember telling one of my kids when he was about six, something about genetics, and how there is an egg from mommy and sperm from daddy, and that's how a baby is formed. He then asked me, "Well, how does the sperm get to the egg?" I told him I would explain that part at a later date.

Actually, seeing my parents is how I found out. I ran to my older sis, and she had to explain.
Set him down, and tell him you two were exspressing your love in a certain way only adults can. If he keeps asking, then try changing the subject and distract him from that question.
Your better off facing it before he embaresses you by asking someone else what was going on...

hahaha funny. I saw my parents doing it, they are pretty open about it...well actually they just said "We were having sex" and kept it at that. Since your little one is still kind of aloof on the whole matter I would suggest that you just say "Daddy and I were just getting warm because it was cold in the room" or something simple and innocent like that.

Remember children mind is not as pervert as ours...
So, just explain what he wants to hear...nothing else...
Nothing but you were playing, and you usually play like that because is your father and I love him...
... That is not a lie... and will satisfy the ear of your child, the only one worried about a long and clear explanation is you... So... keep it simple... Nothing more than that...

Like a previous poster said, just explain it to him. He won't make a big deal out of it, nor do I think he'll care. Plus, it's better that he finds out now instead of later when he's like 12...

ooo thats a tough one......
i guess you can tell him you and daddy were doing grown up things that u should only do when your married, dont really say that its sex cuz i think hes too young for that, but dont lie to him either. Just say you were doing "big people" stuff.

He's 6, he'll believe anything you tell him. Wait until he's older to tell him the whole "Birds and bees" thing. Tell him you were playing "Power Rangers" and daddy was winning!
