Smoking causes decrease in the ciliary action of the cilia in the respiratory passage which normally pushes out the dust and foreign particles out of them, thus causing more dust particles to go into the lungs. This inturn in the long run causes decrease in the normal function of the lungs which has an effect in the breathing process as well as the purification of the blood. Thus it effects the circulatory system. This will cause problem in the venous return, causing varicose veins in the legs. It may also affect the blood circulation to the brain which will impair the functions of the brain.
Automatically it will affect all the systems of the body, name it.... Smoking has the power to make you what you shouldn't be.

While some of the ingredients in a cigarette are approved as additives for foods, they were not tested by burning them, and it is the burning of many of those substances which changes their properties, often for the worse. Over 4000 chemical compounds are created by burning a cigarette, most of which are toxic. Those include rat poison, all kinds of acids, ammonia, carbon monoxide, cyanide, resin, butanol (which is used in gasoline). Would you ingest these separately? If not, then why would you when they're in a cigarette? So you can imagine how much damage you'd be doing to yourself and others by smoking. If what's on the outside looks bad, imagine how bad it's on the inside.

If your in Canada, just look at any pack of smokes. We have really nasty pics on all of our packs....like a bleeding/hemoraged brain and facts like: 1 out of every 2 people die from lung cancer caused by smoking or something along those lines.

Emphazima, gum, mouth, throat, lung disease/cancers, heart attacks, blocking of arteries, list goes on and on.......and I'm a smoker.....and obviously an idiot.

Smoking can cause physical problems such as asthma, emphyzema & lung cancer, eventually leading to death. It can cause problems for non-smokers who are exposed. Another problem includes low birth weight in infants born to smoking mothers. In addition to the physical aspects, smoking takes a toll on your home & clothes, and can stain your teeth & nails.

When you smoke you basically inhale smoke. Its like if where in a burning building, you inhale smoke. Anyways, it causes birth defect, lung, heart, liver and thoart cancer. And the worse part of all, death. That's basically it, but if you really look at it its not worth it.
