It is perfectly normal for a child of that age to eat those things. Most kids do it. It is easy for them to put in their little hands.

Don't worry about it, three year olds do this. My oldest was on a hot dog, cheese and apple sauce kick for a long time. It wore off after a while. He's 27 now, has a master's degree, is married and employed. He is very thin and muscular, and has a 3rd degree black belt.It didn't hurt him a bit. Give him a children's vitamin to make sure he's getting the nutrients that he needs. Introduce some other things every so often, but don't obsess if he turns them down. When he's a bit older, find an activity for him, something physical. He'll be ok.

He will eat healthy food if he is hungry enough. My parents always made sure I ate healthy even if I did not want to. If I refused to eat healthy then they would not let me have any junk food until I was hungry enough to eat the healthy food. Of course if I absoultely hated something (like broccoli) they would give me another couple choices like carrots or peas. You got to experiment with healthy foods and eventually if you make meal time fun your son will eat. Also, of course he's gaining weight, it's because he's eating crap and if u continue letting him eat junk then he willl grow up a fat mess.

all of us sit on the eating table to devour at the same time. bypass the nutrients round for all of us to take some and placed some on his plate. If he whines inspire him to sit there and devour what's in the front of him. do no longer provide him what he needs. that is hard and extremely upsetting to attempt to devour with a whining and crying baby yet you may do it. If he do not devour what's in the previous him by employing the time he must be executed (provide him pleanty of time) then reserve it for the subsequent meal. placed a cover on it and placed it contained in the refrigerator. warmth it up even as he's waiting. he will study even as dinner time is and that he has to devour what's given to him. with slightly of success you'll %. healthful meals. I easily have listen of youngsters that devour in ordinary words peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for days. At that age he does no longer want a lot nutrients so surprisingly nutritious meals must be inspired. do not allow him have any snacks between nutrients, purely water or juice. Milk is high quality too because it has multiple nutrients. you purely ought to set the guidelines and persist with them and by no potential provide in to his 3 three hundred and sixty 5 days previous whining tantrums. he receives over it. he will study.

You need to take your child to his pediatrician and see if he can suggest something for him. You need to encourage him to eat other stuff. He is at the age where he can still eat baby food maybe try him on other stuff like veggies, meats, fruits stuff like that BUT in baby food form. You do not want to turn your child into a porker thats so sad seeing children who are like massively overweight from the parents not feeding them properly.

is there a reason why he gags at other food?

there has been plenty of moms that thanked god for mac and cheese because their kids would eat it when they wouldnt eat anything else.

you might start the kid with one veggie and tell him that he can have what he wants if he just tries the veggie. after a while he will start trying other foods. be firm

Probably just aserting their independance. Though you can talk to the pediatrician on this one.. My spelling is so off today..
Anyhow, Since it has been a year of this diet I'd be concerned. You'd want to ask about multivitamins and find ways to introduce new foods.. I hope I've helped:)

Sounds like my 2 1/2 yr old grandson, although he will eat hot dogs, and not pizza. Other than that, if you can't drown it in ketchup, he doesn't want it.

Lay down the laws and feed him healthy. If you give in to him at three, what will happen when he is 5 or 25?
