Love At First Sight

Is there such a thing as love at first sight?
That's the question I ask.
How is it possible to feel so much for a
stranger, a passerby?
Love has no limits, no color, no time.

Yes, lets put it this way.

A man and a woman weren't sure if they believed in love a fist sight. They saw each other, fell in love, had kids, and have now loved each other for almost 20 years!

Those people are my parents! Yup, they're my parents! :)

So yes, I do!

There is very definitely "love at first sight". The second I met my husband, I knew, without a doubt that we would be married and have children. We didn't date or even really see each other for a yr but I couldn't get him out of my head and I compared every man I met to him-none measured up.

I called him out of the blue and asked if we could get together for dinner so I could see if what "id built up in my mind was real or just a case of "beer-goggles." He came over; we talked and talked through the night (no hanky panky) and ended up going on a 1st date that weekend. Long story short, we dated 3 mos, moved in together and were married six mos after out 1st date. A yr and a 1/2 later we had a beautiful, little boy.

Now I wish I could say there was a happy ending to this story but there's not. Even though what I felt was real, true love, til-death-do-us-part-stuff, he didn't. Our son was 6 mos when he met another woman and 2 1/2 when he left me for her. Too bad I didn't listen to the SECOND thought I'd had the instant I met him: He's going to be trouble-what kind, I don't know, but he WILL be trouble. Brother I was right. :-)

Good luck in your search. There is someone for everyone; you just have to be a little cautious. If they seem to good to believe; they are.

Our appearances advertize more than you conciously realize about ourselves. Love at first sight is an entity in its own, more closely related to lust than anything lasting and commital. Of course it all depends a lot on your interpretation of love. On the affirmative, this kind of basal attraction can often have promising results since it does something to us to make us "more willing" to do whatever it takes to make a connection with that other person. Human nature is to respond to that language of instinctual attraction (the verbal and nonverbal cues) . Now whether that means they see you and instantly feel the same way or not is a totally different story.

well yes i do believe in love at first sight. Because yes for sure he or she is a stranger but for some cute reason something just clicks perfectly between the two. Its like a strong very strong reaction. most people say its lust but no its not hardly lust because if it was lust then we u see that person all thats going thru ur mind is sex with that person but see love dont see that right off the bat. love sees that way further down the line, love see straight to the heart.!!!!!!!!!

ABSOLUTELY! I was in love with my ex at 1st sight. It was mutual, we just stared at each other and started to talk. We went out that night and talked all night and it was just love from the start. This was 9 yrs ago.

Funny though, I am going Monday to get a tattoo of his name covered. I don't regret getting that tatto, it was what I wanted at that time in my life.

Love it not always enough.... ;(

I think there are different sorts of love, like different levels of love.

Maybe with love at first site someone can feel empathy for a person. Or maybe they see things they admire from observing that person.

But honestly I think it is a strange and unrealistic notion.

The young believe that there is love at first sight. The experienced laugh at the naivety.
