I am actually in a relationship with an older man. I am 31 and he is 56. So it definitely is possible. Make sure you find someone who is comfortable with who they are So therefore they don't have to be insecure in the relationship. If this person is good to you and respects who you are as a person then it is alright. Who ever said there has to be a certain age criteria for falling in love? Does it bother you? If not I say go for it. If it does then maybe you should be questioning yourself because you are the only one that matters. It doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks outside of the relationship. If your friends and family love you they will support any decision you make point blank and there will be no room for judgement.

I honestly don't know what a 50 year old man could have in common with an 18 year old girl. I don't generally have a problem with a huge age gap, but an 18 year old hasn't experienced life yet. I'm not saying it can't work, but I'd take my time.
I was 32 when I married my second husband. He is 24 years older than I am. He's 77 now and I'll be 53 in a few days. We've been married over 20 years and couldn't be happier. It has worked because we are devoted to each other. We express our love in many ways, every day. We have supported each other through some very difficult times. Our love just keeps growing.
Falling in love is the easy part. Staying in love takes the work of both partners, every day.

You are right... He takes you for granted, that's why he is with you. He thinks of you as that little **** who will always put up with his crap, because she doesn't know better. The age gap is huge in my opinion. If you were 27 and he was 38 it would be different, but you are still a teenager, you haven't even grown up yet, it is VERY wrong to do this. He probably got disappointed by a woman his own age, that's why he is with you... I know it sounds harsh, but he wants to get some and keep getting it. Generally the younger the girl is, the less she expects, that's what he is counting on. Better end it and get someone who treats you right and wants to be with you for who you are, not to get some, because the ones at his age won't put out.

what would a 18yr girl find a 50yr guy and how would her parents take that.??
50yr man is only looking for sex with a 18yr, they have nothing in common. the girl is looking at college and continuing her life, the man is only out to get what he wants.
