Long distances, country to country. Helicopter would make the animal dizzy, by truck would mean that the driver would have to find a route that did not pass under bridges, etc. By boat would work, but what about long distance when the surrounding country is landlocked?

If a giraffe lies down, it will die. Yeah, it does have to arrive alive.

The Beluga airfreight carrier is so big it would easily transport a giraffe standing fully erect and travels slow enough the giraffe would be comfortable

It really is a case of planning the route to avoid low bridges. They are usually transported in high top trailers, so once you have that maximum height you could contact one of the main route-mappers or national breakdown organisations. They may be able to get those details for you.

Put him on a flatbed truck...and stop and walk him under the bridges (they can duck).

Either that or disassemble him at point of origin, transport in pieces and reassemble at the destination.

You could sedate the giraffe and lay it down and it would fit in a long compartment type cargo box etc. I don't think its impossible.

Two in the front seat, three in the back and one in the elephant's trunk.

Or, build an ark and wait for the flood. (Just how big was that ark anyway?)

Silly rabbit, let the damn thing walk.
