How about this for an answer: Guys are nice to girls just for GP so it can be hard to tell. And some guys (me included) go way WAY out of thier way to make sure that if they do like you, that you can't tell. Hey, we're shy too. Best thing to do is flirt a little. Not a lot, just a little. Let him know that he exists in your world and even if he hadn't considered you initially, he may in the very near future.
