A guy, (seems nice, but we played beach volleyball only 3X, and sadly I don't yet even know his name) asked me my waist size. I thought he was flirting, and so I just laughed. But in 1 week, I got a card from a store near where I live, telling me to pick up a gift. I thought it's a mistake, but I went there, and they had a pair of "True Religion" jeans (I never heard of that brand before) - (a Joey Big T), already paid for under my name. They would'nt tell me who bought them for me, but of course I completely knew it had to be him. They asked me to try it on for size, so they could switch if I needed. That is when I saw the price, and I was shocked! It was $272.00! I was excited, and shaking, so I told the store clerk that I would come back to get it later.

I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO HAVE THOSE JEANS!!! Do you think it would be OK under American. standards for me to pick them up? (I'm only a student here, so I don't yet know your Am. standards). Hope you can say "yes"! (hehe)!

Thanks to everyone for your your advice........even the 2 of you who were so very crude, rude, and insulting. I am sorry you two didn't like my appearance in my photo. Interestingly, neither of you put your photo up, and I can only speculate why! (hehe)! I admit that that bikini photo is not my favorite. Just so the 2 of you won't be pained looking at it again on perhaps a future question, I have changed to my other (professional) Y-360 photo. Once again, Thanks again, everyone, for the help on my issue.

Your pic is gorgeous. Those girls are just jealous that they're not as hot as you, that's all. Also, as you can see, most American girls are too stupid and lazy to read.

Linguistics is a difficult yet interesting subject. My major was Chemistry yet I took a syntax course and just loved it. (Many American girls think Syntax is a fine you pay for doing something bad... "sin tax". LOL)

In American culture it is perfectly fine to accept a gift, especially an anonymous one. You do not owe him anything more than a "thank you" if you ever see him again.

Enjoy the jeans.

Sorry, you wont like my answer. But you cant accept those jeans. This is a really strange thing if you ask me. I would be highly suspicious of the situation. Wear your own jeans and make the statement that you cant be bought.

Do you really want to feel obligated towards someone you barely know? If the answer is yes or I dont care then go for it!! Culturally there isnt anything wrong with accepting a gift.
