There is no evidence (apart from speculation) that she was his wife. The biblical account makes it clear that she was a sinner who was forgiven deep sin and loved Christ much for that. However, there were many other women who were close to Him; in fact, most of His followers who were there at His death were women.

The important thing to notice is that Mary Magdalene - and Mary, Christ's mother, Salome, and other New Testament women - are given a prominent place in the gospel accounts, although the society of that age treated them as part of a low strata of society. Christ elevated women to their proper place, on equal footing with men before God.

Also, the Bible teaches that the "Bride of Christ" is the Church; therefore, Mary Magdalene will, someday, be united with Christ as part of His Bride, as will all true believers.

According to one source - www.askrealjesus.com - Mary Magdalene and Jesus were what might be called "soul mates" and she was Jesus' closest disciple.

They were not married during his time before his "death" in Galilee. However, after his resurrection Jesus again took on physical form and he and Mary Magdalene were "married," had seven children and lived in Kashmir India until Jesus was 81 when he took his Ascension.

I do imagine human beings have many theories about Jesus, before 33 years previous we under no circumstances knew what he did previously all all of us understand is written by technique of guy, each and each and every of his disciples had a distinct version yet i do imagine the vatican has the right version which they keep secret so we can under no circumstances understand the authentic tale. Jesus informed us we purely must believe and do the right ingredient, he under no circumstances choose, study his tale properly as some went adverse to the former testomony. he's the solar of god yet he had a lot mercy and he did not conceal behind the pretense of religion. contained in the former testomony the prophet has all made capital sins in case you persist with it properly it is why he had to deliver his son and non secular warfare were so stupid. God under no circumstances let us know to do cruelty he purely try our faith in him, he has the angels to practise guide us and the archangels to wrestle evil. in recent times each and every individual is so busy protecting faith instead of quite set up the price of forgiveness and love that the christ taught us. My concept is that no matter if Jesus became married or no longer does no longer impression any of my concept in his training and it is because of priest jealousy for his that placed him to demise, they were properly punish as their temple were given damage. human beings bypass to wish and make an apology and then once they do an similar sins yet all over again. I do imagine if everybody did a god deed primary the international will be a better physically powerful position.

Just because some moron somewhere questions one aspect of the Bible, many people got to go off panicking and wondering if the church is lying. Even if there was something in the Catholic church to support such a lie, which there isn't, the Catholic church isn't the only church. There are absolutely no records that are considered authentic, Biblical and non-Biblical, that support the notion that Jesus was married.

The Bible makes it clear that the church is the bride of Christ.

I clicked to open this question because I thought maybe it would be a thought provoking debate, since there is evidence for and against this touchy subject. Now, as I clicked the link, I sadly realized this was another ploy to pull me into the chains of the church. Sorry. It didn't work.

Jesus was a Jew and a Rabbi. In order to be a Rabbi (if I am wrong could a Jew correct me please) as I understand it you have to be married. That would make a strong case for Jesus being married to someone.
