I will be paiting the boards and I heard the glue in the boards could be harmful to babies.

Particle board is fine for shelving, however if it gets wet from water or even high humidity it will absorb moisture and begin to return to a saw dust state. Painting will not prevent this from happening. The saw dust is probably not good for little kids to eat. I don't know what your project is so I can't recommend an alternative.

I wouldn't use particle board. If it gets wet, it will start falling apart.

partical board should be outlawed for any kind of building application imo....if it gets wet it swells and comes apart so baby will be eating it...bad idea

particle board is very UNSAFE! when it gets wet it buckles..i highly advise against it, for your safety and others. Esspecially that babies safety!!!!!! NO
