Are they irrational, are they knowingly aiding and abetting, what, if any, legal penalties should be levied against those that actively aid and promote illegal aliens entering our country?

Ya, some people think they are doing good, but they dont realize the impact on their country. The arguements that "they do the work Amerians wont do" fails to take into consideration the overall costs. What are the costs of social services, the majority of Illegals incomes are wired back to thier native country, and Check out the crime statistics among illegals in California.

Enlightenment you dont think 2 million a year is anything to be concerned with. Some estimates put it up to 10 million per year in the next few years...... expontentially what the hell impact do you think that will have. And 100 years ago this country had more room for expansion. I for one do not wish to see expanding area of poverty.

And out of those tens of millions, many babies will be born, now US citizens, all needing social services. God, I could use some, I know I have sure paid enough the last 20 years.
I just love paying $400 a month for health insurance, after serving in the military for 10 years active, 5 reserves, and a border jumper can get all kinds of free crap from the government

WELL I say F*ck them and I don't care who gets pissed off. THIS IS MY COUNTRY. That BS about it was part of Mexico... too bad, you know how many countries were part of others, thats the way it works, Survival of the fitist.

I owe them NOTHING

If ya want in, come in by the laws of this soverign nation.

This is still a free country, no?

If I choose to have a friend who happens to be illegal, I am irrational and aiding and abetting an illegal?

I guess you better penalize the catholic church, which I am not even a member of. And all the human rights groups as well. And all those politicians who support amnesty too....Wow that would be a good chunk of the American public.

No, we don't live in a world according to you, we still have freedom of speech and expression without being penalized. If you penalize me today, who will penalize you tomorrow for whatever you do or believe?

Approximately 250 million people cross the U.S.-Mexico border each year, making it the most traversed border in the world. Almost all of the crossings are legal, for purposes of work, shopping, tourism, etc. Less than 1 percent of crossings--somewhere between 1 and 2 million per year--occur without authorization.

Overall, according to U.S. government figures, the vast majority of immigrants who enter the U.S. each year travel legally.

The Department of Homeland Security estimates that 75 percent of immigrants in the U.S. have legal permanent visas. Of the estimated 25 percent who are undocumented, a large portion--as much as half, according to a 2004 report by the General Accounting Office--didn’t cross the border “illegally,” but simply overstayed temporary visas.

Overall, the U.S., the wealthiest nation on the planet, takes in only about 2 percent of the world’s total immigrant population. And today, the percentage of the U.S. population that is foreign-born is lower than it was 100 years ago.

What if you don't "actually" aid and promote.....but hide behind a computer screen......pimping a cause. Would I still be eligible for a legal penalty?

Aiding and abetting a criminal is already a crime. Enforce it. Yeah right. Good luck.

You mean the Democrats and the Church's . Maybe they would take a few of them home and support them for the next 20 years .

I would still like to see the supporters give their checks up to help--funny it isn't happening and they could nothing is stopping them from doing it. If all did that-think of how much money there would be in that fund. I think it is lip service.
