The questions you ask depend largely upon your belief system and your life experiences. It's not my purpose in life to impose my convictions on you. You have to answer these questions for yourself as best you can. Good luck.

Nobody can answer this question for certain, and anyone who claims to be able to is a charlatan.

I will address your questions in order from my own understandings of life, an atheist viewpoint.

What is the purpose of life?
There is no specific purpose, our job however since we do find ourselves in this condition is to live our lives to the fullest and respect the rights of others.

Why are we here on planet earth?
Because this planet was the most suitible for life to take hold.

What will happen after death?
When the individual dies, thats it. The end. Conciousness (what religion would refer to as the "soul") is the product of a living operating brain. When our body can no longer support the operations of the brain, we die and lose conciousness forever. All the more reason to live a full enjoyable life... you only get one chance.

Your purpose in life is both general and individual. In general, we are created to be creative .. to take whatever talent and abilty we have and dream. We are also created to serve our fellow man. The bottom line is to love your neighbor. Tend to him when he is sick. Visit him when he is in prison. We are all searching for meaning. What is the meaning of your life? Well, you have to discover that on your own. Having lots of money, nice cars, vacations, etc. doesn't add to the meaning of your life one iota. Read Man's Search For Meaning, by Viktor Frankl. He survived a Nazi concentration camp - which is remarkable - and writes that he found meaning and purpose in the death camp. Above all, he discovered freedom. Think about that one. Freedom while in a death camp.

Life exists because we value it. We want to continue it. You must answer for yourself what the purpose of your own life is. Nobody really knows what happens when you die, but there are many speculations and religious beliefs about it.

to be able to feel...., pain, happiness, sadness, temperature, I think without a body we are just energy. We are trapped in these things ,as a way to test our willingness to be able to make due with what we have. just my thought though. I think after we die if we passed the test,of will, and according to the bible accept Jesus ,we are given a new life without pain and sorrow.
I think earth is the testing ground, a place to exist, to be tempted,to see if we can resist, to admit we can't do it alone, but who am I to say...... it is up to each individual to decide for themselves.
