without this we wouldent have sattilites, internet, telephone, computers and all other forms of mass comunication from magazines to newspapers. this invention revolutionized the way we transmit and recieve info and made it possible for us to have knowledge at our finger tips
what is this invention, who invented it, when was it invented, and what was the first product of its invention -- if you do not know please be nice enough not leave an answer, trying is better then not
YOU WILL BE ENLIGHTENED if you do not know the answer, and hopefully youll be thankfull to have such wonderful things in our world that make thiese things possible

The printing press, invented by Johannes Gutenberg in the 1400s.
That's my best guess.

Is it the micro chip (or integrated circuit)?
It seems that the integrated circuit was destined to be invented. Two separate inventors, unaware of each other's activities, invented almost identical integrated circuits or ICs at nearly the same time.
Jack Kilby, an engineer with a background in ceramic-based silk screen circuit boards and transistor-based hearing aids, started working for Texas Instruments in 1958. A year earlier, research engineer Robert Noyce had co-founded the Fairchild Semiconductor Corporation. From 1958 to 1959, both electrical engineers were working on an answer to the same dilemma: how to make more of less.

Well it doesn't fit all your description because the telephone and print came first But I believe the most important invention that shaped the world is the cathode ray tube invented by Philo Farnsworth in the 20s. It's first practical use was as a picture tube for television but the sale of TVs was put on hold while all the cathode ray tubes went to WW2 as radar screens. Philo was disappointed in what his invention became and didn't own a TV.
He changed his mind in 1969 when he saw men walk on the moon.

I believe the general consensus is "movable type" I don't know the inventor or date but the first publication was the Bible. Movable Type allowed for the creation of the printing press and that made communication and knowledge more widespread. I didn't look this up, so I don't have more information, just going from memory.

Honestly, my first guess would be plastic. But since you are speaking only in terms of communication, I would say the printing press, Guntenburg. In terms of technology, I think the quantum mechanics revolution made all the high tech toys we have today possible. Without quantum theory, the microchip would not have been made.

Radio.
Invented by accident by Thomas Edison as he noticed a grid in his new light bulb rectified alternating electricity. Marconi took it to the next step by wirelessly transmitting on/off noise. (Tesla did the same thing before Marconi, but never developed it)

The wheel. Without it, no other inventions made since then could have been possible.

I would say language.
However,
"No one yet agrees on when language was first used by humans (or their ancestors). Estimates range from about two million (2,000,000) years ago, during the time of Homo habilis, to as recently as forty thousand (40,000) years ago, during the time of Cro-Magnon man."
