Yah, I was going to ask this question, too. Very serious. It is really scary; it's a war. Not unexpected, but now a Palestinian base in Libya has been bombed. So who knows what will happen next. Tensions are so high and the leader of Iran is, shall we say, unstable. I'm going to watch Nightmares and Dreamscapes on TNT in an hour and try to get my mind off it. Seems like we've always had war, though. I remember listening to the news on the radio as a little kid and Gabriel Heater telling about the Korean War.

Sad. Very sad. But what's happening there (as well as in the rest of the world) just confirms that we are living in the last days of this present wicked system of things.

See 2 Timothy 3:1-5, 13 and Matthew 24:3-14, 36-39 for more information.

In answer to pinkyj, actually the Jews were there first, but it is true that Arabs have been living in Palestine/Israel for a long time. And when Palestine was partitioned after World War II, the Arabs did get half of the land, and Arabs also continued to live in the portion that was allocated to Israel, and a million Arabs continue to live peacefully in Israel today. Most of the Arab states never accepted the partition of Palestine; that is why there were wars in 1948, 1967 and 1973. When the Arabs accept the existence of Israel, as some of the Arab states have done, then the violence will stop.

I think Israel will never see peace as this is where everyone's holy land is. It has been written in every religions holy scripture that this place will always be a place of unrest. It is not surprising.

As far as the country is handeling it, their leaders have decided not to talk to these guerillas, which I think is a bad move. They have done it in the past, and it helped. I don't know why all of the sudden they're gonna change their stance.

If everyone understood Islam you could understand what is happening. Muslims, according to the Koran can lie and cheat in dealing with infidels (non-Muslims) as long as Islam is benefited. This is why we seem to have a peaceful settlement but they always break it. Muslims can not ever be trusted. There will never be lasting peace. The longest it will last will be 3 1/2 years, according to the Bible.

Just a piece of the puzzle. It is not just Israel though, it is the world moving closer to Armageddon. But it still may be a long way off... I think it will be in our kids lifetime though.
As for them pounding Palestine, that is a rivalry that is the oldest known really. Real Bad Blood. So if one steps out of line, the other will be there to rub their face in it. Basically two siblings fighting. Best if we stay out of it.

I think that the Israelies should give up half the land to the Palestinians. The Palenstinians were there first, were they not?? But, to compromise, I think the Jews should be allowe to keep half of the land. I really do think that the Palestinians are the ones that have been wronged here, though.

isreal is being a bully as usual. killing mostly innocent people. while sitting on their land yet tarnishing their image, religion & very lives every day. it sucks.
thats why everyone has to wait until they die for true justice to be served.
true justice is not possible in this world.

i think its sad. isreal has always been disobidient to God's word and they still are. i beleive when they accept the Word of God then they will have peace, like they never have had. but, this again is only prophecy coming true.
