First thing is to talk to the Financial Aide department at the school you are planning on transferring too. They will have you go through the process of the FASFA, and then likely have you apply for student loans. Look into Pel Grants and also see if your state has grants that they offer... Grants you do not have to pay back. Another place to get information would be the financial aide department at the school you currently attend. Look into if your employer has a tuition reimbursement program too.

I am in the same boat you are in i have an 11th month old and cant even apply to beauty school without getting a grant or something, try your financial ad office, have you tried FAFSA or pell grants or something if you get a student loan you will have to pay that back but you probably couldn't afford that. There has got to be something out there for you and I wish you the best in finding it.

Call the office of financial aid at your college. Get an appointment with your financial aid counselor (everybody who attends college has one whether you use them or not) and tell them what you need. They will be able to give you all the forms to fill out and they will answer any questions you may have. If you want the money, you have to speak up and ask for it.
PS--Samantha's right. You have to fill out a FAFSA form first. (which your counselor can help you with...)

Here is some information on scholarships and grants for single moms. It has a lot of good information.
http://www.singlemom.com/resources/financialaid.htm
Also, try fastweb.com. They have a variety of scholarships that may apply to you.
Check out the scholarships offered through Clark Atlanta:
http://www.e-fao.com/eFAO_site.html?OEID=001559&ViewID={A956DDD7-5193-44F4-90E4-1043AE6F47F2}&CategoryID={E0607FDE-5578-4E95-B785-122F81875F01}
Also, talk to your school's financial aid office. They may be able to help you out with making payments, by putting you on a schedule. Or you can take out a loan from a local bank and pay it off later.
Good luck!

Apply to financial aid. Try to get some scholarship money. And see about getting family support, as well as the father of your child.

There are tons of scholarships pointing in your direction. Scholarships specialized for getting people with babies through college, people +18 or like -21 through college, etc. PLEASE look it up, there is a lot of money involved I think. It is VERY helpful. let me c... FAFSA.ORG, I think.. that might have it.. but I am POSITIVE there are MANY HELPFUL scholerships just for colleg-iers with a child. I think some people even have babies so they can pay through college.. or sumthin.. I dunno how it works.. look into it.
