If he gets them after eating, try to slow down his eating with those special food dishes or hand feed him bits at a time. That will prevent him from gulping air while he eats.
If he just gets them randomly, I guess try and make him forget about them by playing with him or showering him with lots of attention so that his breathing will change. Or just leave him be, they will go away on their own.

Wrap him in electrical tape and let him lay there for a few minutes. Pull the tape off. Then give him a bath. If that doesnt' work you could just give him some peanut butter. That always worked for me.

I doubt there's much you can do. Try playing with him, get him worked up, and maybe that will help by altering his breathing.
