Not only "Ana" but "Mia" too....there are chat groups devoted to this as well as message boards. It is a shame that culture has lead young girls to this in swarms.

That's pretty crazy.
In fact, why would they even admit to that? Isn't anorexia, by definition, a harmful disorder? I can see a site advocating eating less food, but isn't being pro-anorexia instead a bit like saying you're pro-abortions instead of pro-choice?

i heard of those sites on Oprah
i went to one and it very clearly states that it was not promoting anorexia. i am sure that is a misguided attempt to help support others with that disease, although instead of supporting it, it could sustaining it and causing other to fall into temptation again.

Good looking out! My daughter has never seemed to have any problems of this nature but parents always seem to be the last to know.

ya I saw that on an episode of strong medicine(on lifetime) and I thought it was just silly. I dont know why anyone would be FOR hurting themselves, but then again, what are the cutters, druggies, and alcoholics doing?

Thanks for the info. It is nice to hear that not all of America's children are obese.
