Of course they do! It's in the Bible. To admit that there is no such thing as witchcraft is to admit that the bible contains errors. And "perfect" God does not err.

Incidentally, witchcraft is the only word in the English language to contain 5 successive consonants

Yeah I beleive that witchcraft is real. No I don't think its a group of woman hanging in the woods chanting. But I know that some people are wiccans and hold to witchcraft as a religion. Also there is a lot of other forms of witchcraft if you use the biblical definition of witchcraft.

No; I believe that European witchcraft was the remnant of pre-Christian European paganism. All Christianized cultures retained a significant stratum of pre-Christian belief. Some of it was officially incorporated into Church discipline and doctrine; some of it existed at the margins; and some of it was practiced by peasants while being wholly rejected by the institutional church. For an interesting case-study, look at "Russian Folk Belief" by Linda Ivanits; for a classic (the scholarship of which is now disputed), read Margaret Murray's "Witch Cult in Western Europe." Modern adherents of witchcraft are, by and large, simply trying to reclaim the heritage of pre-Christian European religion. It's the heathens, the Norse reconstructionists, who are the real deal in that regard, IMHO. They don't materialize stuff in the woods, but they *have* been known to brew mead and dance around bonfires, which would be a whole lot more fun.

I am a former pagan witch turned Christian.

I've never met anyone who could create stuff from thin air except God.

Demons are very real however, and they can manipulate the physical world. They fool a lot of people into messing around with stuff that the Bible condemns. What mortal human is really vain enough to think that they can control demons with a few words? Unbelievably, plenty of them. But I can assure you that they are NOT something that you want to keep messing around with.

I'm really glad I'm on the winning side of THAT battle.

As a Christian, My comment is not about witchcraft at all. I just want to point out that Santa Claus (A.K.A. Saint Nicholas) was a real person in history. (See Below)

Saint Nicholas, a 4th century AD Christian bishop of Myra in Lycia, a province of Byzantine Anatolia, now in Turkey. Nicholas was famous for his generous gifts to the poor, in particular presenting the three impoverished daughters of a pious Christian with dowries so that they would not have to become prostitutes. He was born at Patara, province of Lycia, Asia Minor. He was very religious from an early age and devoted his life entirely to Christianity. In Europe (more precisely the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria and Germany) he is still portrayed as a bearded bishop in canonical robes. The relics of St. Nicholas were transported to Bari in southern Italy by some enterprising Italian merchants; a basilica was constructed in 1087 to house them and the area became a pilgrimage site for the devout. Saint Nicholas became revered by many as the patron saint of seamen, merchants, archers, children, prostitutes, pharmacists, lawyers, pawnbrokers, prisoners, the city of Amsterdam and of Russia. In Greece, Saint Nicholas is sometimes substituted for Saint Basil (Agios Vasilis in Greek), a 4th century AD bishop from Caesarea. Also, a few villages in West Flanders, Belgium, celebrate a near identical figure, Sint-Maarten (Saint Martin of Tours). His alleged date of death, December 6, is celebrated the evening before on December 5.

The Easter Bunny, The Tooth Fairy and The Great Pumpkin, now that's all fiction.

There are two kinds of people in this world who believe in the reality of witchcraft.

Those who have read, and understand, the Holy Bible and believe what it says, taking on faith that it is true.

Those who practise witchcraft and have had the reality of it shown to them.

Do the witches themselves have power to "Do things"? No, their "power" comes from the devil. It is his powere being manifested.

What does the Bible say about it?

Lev 19:26 "You are not to eat anything with blood in it. You are not to practice divination or sorcery.

Deu 18:10 No one among you is to make his son or daughter pass through the fire, practice divination, tell fortunes, interpret omens, practice sorcery,
Deu 18:11 cast spells, consult a medium or a familiar spirit, or inquire of the dead.
Deu 18:12 Everyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD, and the LORD your God is driving out the nations before you because of these detestable things.

Nah 3:4 Because of the continual prostitution of the prostitute, the attractive mistress of sorcery, who betrays nations by her prostitution and clans by her witchcraft,
Nah 3:5 I am against you--the declaration of the Lord of Hosts.

Act 8:9 A man named Simon had previously practiced sorcery in that city and astounded the Samaritan people, while claiming to be somebody great.
Act 8:10 They all paid attention to him, from the least of them to the greatest, and they said, "This man is called the Great Power of God!"
Act 8:11 They were attentive to him because he had astounded them with his sorceries for a long time.

Act 13:6 When they had gone through the whole island as far as Paphos, they came across a sorcerer, a Jewish false prophet named Bar-Jesus.
Act 13:7 He was with the proconsul, Sergius Paulus, an intelligent man. This man summoned Barnabas and Saul and desired to hear God's message.
Act 13:8 But Elymas, the sorcerer, which is how his name is translated, opposed them and tried to turn the proconsul away from the faith.
Act 13:9 Then Saul--also called Paul--filled with the Holy Spirit, stared straight at the sorcerer
Act 13:10 and said, "You son of the Devil, full of all deceit and all fraud, enemy of all righteousness! Won't you ever stop perverting the straight paths of the Lord?
Act 13:11 Now, look! The Lord's hand is against you: you are going to be blind, and will not see the sun for a time." Suddenly a mist and darkness fell on him, and he went around seeking someone to lead him by the hand.

Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, moral impurity, promiscuity,
Gal 5:20 idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions,
Gal 5:21 envy, drunkenness, carousing, and anything similar, about which I tell you in advance--as I told you before--that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Bad stuff, real, dangerous, to be avoided.

Oh No...say it ain't so...non existent Santa Claus...or Tooth Fairy...now I suppose your going to say that Superman isn't real...but I got news for you...just go see the movie Superman returns, and that should convince you he is real. Jesus may not have been able to fly, or stop a speeding bullet or falling building,,,but there is that movie which should convince you that he is real,,,that Mel Gibson produced last year.... boy, what does it take to convince some people that no matter what lack of evidence there is,,,,people will believe a lie no matter what,,,because when mommy and daddy tell the child something, they are going to believe its the truth...because, they cant lie....right? Sincerely

There are people out there practicing witchcraft now and they are not all women.
Check the sites below.
You are right though there is no Santa or tooth fairy but there is a God and He did send Jesus to us to help us and for our payment of our sins.

Santa, tooth fairy, even the Easter Bunny, are all cute things that give children something to look forward to, and get excited about! Theres nothing evil about them, and theres no comparison!

Witchcraft is nothing but a mere tool of Satan, making people believe in his deceit... Theres no power! Theres no casting of spells!

I do not believe that magic or witchcraft really works. However, there really are women who hang out in the woods and say "magical" words. Some of them are on this forum.
