there are no blacks or latinos representing us on tv.

First of all i am very offended with the person who said majority of the people are white so stick with what you see and the second who said if you don't like what you see go back to your country. America is no man's land and for their infromation, this country was built by slaves who were working their butts off for no money and the whites who claim tis is their land where brought here as refugees and excapees from religious conflicts in Europe. They where the lowest class citizens who were excaping religious presecution and those who were theives and nurders were shiiped here to wotk as punishment. So when they found a chance to make their low self esteem increase, they decided to pick on the other people oif different colors who came here first as expoleres and indentured servant. Please read your histry books guys cause you are really mistaking about who this land belongs to.
And going along with TV shows, yes we need more diversity in the TV industry. BET and UPN is not enough compared to the 12 other stations. They need to diversify what is being shown on tv since we are all "Americans". To those who don't know, minorities are not minorities no more the black and hispanic population has increased drasticaly. Check your uscensus 2005.

Less ignorance on yahoo answers please.

Oh I tootally agree. Plus, the actors aren't even really Hispanic on that show except for George and the wife & Grandma! At least I dont think. There's not enough black/brown shows on tv at all. I dont know why they cant make more like 'my wife and kids' and 'everybody hates chris'. Wow, there's no hipanic shows on at all except George Lopez, huh?!?!

I wish we saw more truly interracial shows on television. I agree there are too many shows with the 'token' ethnic person, who is really just a side character (and it goes both ways, with shows that are directed only for ethnic minorities as well). Unfortunately, I think it's still a reflection of our culture, and that we are not as integrated as we wish we were.

i guess since i am white, i never noticed nor do i care what color the persons skin is, just if the show is good or not. maybe you should
watch less tv or by a black and white tv.

what does color have to do with it? would that not be pre judging people?

I am not racist by no means, but why does everyone want to have someone of their nationality on tv or be their Dr.?

It should be the funniest, or the most qualified.
