examples are apocraphal writings, Jehova witness books, morman book, Koran, Gnostic writings, The DiVinci Code, Scientology, etc.... It seems that every important religious book of the day contradicts with God's salvation plan in the bible. Why?

The council of Nicea (A.D.) 325) was the only major Church Council in Constintine's day, and it did not even discuss the matter. It wasn't man but God who determined which books would be in the N.T. by only inspiring 27 of them (Timothy 3:16) The people discerned them because they had the fingerprints of God. How? Written by an apostle or prophet of God (Eph.2:20); they were confirmed by acts of God (Heb.2:4); they told the truth about God (1John4:6); they were immediately collected by the people of God (2Petr3:15-16). Some 5,700 Grk manuscripts of the N.T. have been found. They can be restored with 99.5% accuracy (So, not one single biblical doctrine is affected.) . 2nd place goes to Homer's "Iliad" with 643 manuscripts. They can be resored with about 95% accuracy.

theogodwyn: Salvation is by Grace, the gift of God that needs to be received by confession & faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Lamb of God & Raised Saviour (from the dead). It is not by works becaused we all have messed up & our works are dead works. After changed by the Love of God, our works are rooted in the Love of God. Rewards are given for our works.

Apocraphal writings contradict by belittling women...Jehovah's Witnesses teach that there is no hell & that Jesus is not the Son of God & didn't rise from the dead a new temple. Jesus told doubting Thomas to feel His wounds & that He was real. Morman book writes that we can be saved by grace after we do all we can do (too many just don't receive God's Salvation then). Koran writes that Jesus didn't die on the cross and is not the Son of God. Gnostic writings denies Christ diety also.

God has already revealed to me in His Word the assumptions I have made. I am honest.

theogodwyn. Bible doesn't contradict itself..I have the gift=Holy Spirit that leads me into all truth & isn't a liar. Where other doctrines caused me to doubt the bible, I asked God. The Holy Spirit loves His book, the Holy Bible. He hates those that add & take away. Read what Jesus wrote to the 7 churches in Revelations about other doctrines.

Faith without works is dead. No contradiction. Faith in God is trusting & obeying Him. Works is rooted from love. When God told Noah to build the ark, He believed God & built it. Noah would have suffered the flood if He didn't get into the ark of safety.

Salvation is the free gift. This gift is the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Jesus knows all who are born of God. He can't say, "I never knew you." Yet Jesus saves the child of God (with heavens keys) every day. If we sin, we have an advocate to God, Jesus Christ. Confess sin & He makes us right. Wash in the Word of God. Be Holy. Can build with perishable or everlasting.

The Godhead = I AM the Lord (YHVH) thy God (ELHYM = plural of ALH) am one (EKD) Lord (YHVH). N.T. Go forth and baptize them in the name of the Father, Son & Holy Ghost. They are one and inseperable. Read Genesis1. The Spirit of God (ELHYM) hovered over the waters, The Word of God Spoke. Godhead = Creator. The many gods are the want to be gods. The devil & his angels, etc... Obviously there were at least two angels there at the resurrection. Judas killed himself. Probably hung himself over a dropoff (cliff). I haven't read about the cliff.

Tony R: There is no shades of gray in God's Salvation plan. Either Jesus Christ's death was wholly sufficient and a once-for-all payment of mankind's sin-debt or it wasn't. Either Jesus' blood does cover our sins, or it doesn't. There's no middle ground. The Holy Spirit, Christ's words, and Scripture's testimony clearly assert that it does.

bama_ild: Good answer. I believe a person is born again with confession and believing in ones heart. I believe baptism is being a witness of the transformation that took place in persons life. The old man is dead & the new man is alive in Christ. Seated in High Places with Christ. Getting baptized happens after heart faith where one is born again.

Hearing Self confess + Believing in the heart = Born of God.

Water baptism happens after ward once representing now born of God. While Holy Spirit is with you and will be in you & renews you forever. Holy Spirit baptism.

Why? Because we are in the end times, that's why. The Bible foretells of things such as this happening, when some will not know right from wrong due to those professing God in their "own" ways. Bottom line, the Bible is the truth and above all other books. Jesus is the way, the truth and the light! Blessings =)

What is God's Salvation Plan in the Bible? I don't think you clearly stated that portion.

How do the following books contradict that?
a. Apocryphal writings
b. Jehovah's Witness Books
c. Mormon Books
d. Koran
e. Gnostic Writings

You make an assumption that you don't prove?

Why does the Bible contradict itself at times as well?
Faith without works is dead.
Salvation comes by faith alone.
There are many gods.
There is but one god.
There were two angels or one angel at Jesus resurrection.
Did Judas hang himself or jump off a cliff?

achtung heiss: Do Jehovah Witnesses proclaim/believe all the bible verses you wrote? You don't seem like a Jehovah Witness to me. Maybe you're a born again christian being a witness for Jesus Christ your Lord (Yahweh or Adonay).

bama ild: He who believes & is baptized will be saved. He who believes not is condemned. The act of baptizim doesn't save anyone. Believing from the heart does. Baptizim symbolizes the new birth. The old man dies & the new man is alive in Christ. Out of obedience one is baptized in water to witness to others that one has confessed Jesus Christ is Lord. They believe in their heart He died on the cross & rose from the dead. The thief on the cross confessed He was guilty and said to Jesus, "I am rightly here... Lord, remember me when you enter into your kingdom." Jesus said, "Today, you will be with me in paradise.". Jesus knew He believed in Jesus in His heart. He didn't have a chance to be water baptized. Also, people have been filled with the Holy Spirit baptisim before the water baptism at times in New Testament. People get filled with the Holy Spirit after they are born again (After believing & confessing Jesus Christ Lord).

Sadly, this question is designed primarily to insult and slander Jehovah's Witnesses. In fact, Jehovah's Witnesses are quite active in teaching about the bible's view of hell, which certainly does exist. Jehovah's Witnesses also work hard to teach people that Jesus Christ is, in fact, the Son of God and that Jesus Christ did, in fact, rise from the dead.

So why would someone spread so much hateful bigotry about Jehovah's Witnesses? Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:

(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.

(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.

(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

Among many reasons religiuos books vary from the Holy Bible are;
1. Man is a god, albeit a false god (Gen. 3:5).
2. At least in this country presently, many people do not follow the 'two or more witnesses' principle, given to christians (Matt. 18:16, 2 Cor. 13:1).

mostly because the bible is flawed. and by the way, the Dav Vinci code is not a religious book, any more than Harry Potter is. Most of those other texts were written long before thabible. And by the way. Revelations, that scripture that you born again fools hold so dearly was written by some fool, passed off as a dream by Paul, and is only in the bible to scare the shyte out of followers to make them behave the way their preachers want them to.

1 John 1:9 ... "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Be of good cheer, all your sins are forgiven in heaven.

I won't argue with others. After all we were all put on this planet by God. It is not for us to judge, but for God.

Just try to live your own life and forget about how someone else believes. We've already seen farces such as the Baker family enough.

For the most part, argueing in type about beliefs leads nowhere. It is impossible to write without showing an example many people have seen. i. e. Billy Graham

Some of these books do not contradict the salvation plan, but just have a different view of things. There is black and there is white and there are shades of grey, and I think that these other books exist because it is difficult to reach the pure standard aspired for in the bible, and that people should be weighed by good and bad, and not just destined for total salvation through Jesus or total damnation otherwise. Maybe this is because parts of the bible were translated and written by man himself, and he cant be intellectually flexible to please all.

First of all, the DaVinci Code is a novel, not a religious book. The Bible doesn't contain "a salvation plan." It contains many different people's views and beliefs about God. Christians give authority to the Bible, just as these other people give authority to what they consider "scripture."

Because it's a free country! Anyone can write, (or believe), anything they want! Whose gonna stop 'em?
The problem is... there are too many ignorant, uneducated dimwits out there that fall for this false crap! They take it as gospel truth!
According to the Bible, God holds those in a ministry or teaching position accountable to a higher standard than the rest of us. So I guess the ones who profess these abominations as gospel have forfeited their salvation!?
