Will the outcome of their recent election result in a sea-change in Mexico's leadership, possibly to the point where their citizens are encouraged by future prospects to try and stay home and fix their own country?

No I don't see any changes in the future from Mexico's perspective. After reading the article it sounds like the same 'ol same 'ol. Just a different name. We can't seriously expect Mexico to do anything worthwhile concerning the border. We have to take care of that from our side...screw 'em. They can't stop us from enforcing our borders.

no one advantages from Illegals. positive some keep the price of my stawberry smootie down by technique of operating for a dollar an hour. yet that doesnt make up for the thousands and thousands who're in street gangs and promoting drugs and hurting good americas.

No. This government will be just as corrupt as all the previous governments in Mexico. I hope I'm wrong.

The new president is educated in the United States; hopefully he and Bush can fix it together; I don't hold out much hope. Don't hold your breath.

I believe Calderon was elected, although Obrador filed charges for fraud. Calderon is endorsed by Bush and Fox, and that can't be good.

noooooooooo....it will get worse. the new canidate is a globalist....he is for the wealthy and big business. where will that leave the indigent? coming here of course. they will fall thru the cracks as always! such a shame
