Wicca is a goddess centered religion. We believe that because women are the givers of life, all life comes from our mother. This is a metaphor, unlike christianity, we do not believe in a great "Mother" in the sky. Every thing in the Universe is made up of energy, that energy is "Goddess" and "God". It is in every rock, tree, bug and human.
It is this Universal energy that we draw on for our rituals & magic. Drawing it in, Amplifying, and redirecting it to our specific purpose.
We have but one law, " and it harms none, do as you will..."
I'll let my sisters & Priestess take it from here,
Blessed Be...
Destiny will write you a book!

Pagans are people who don't fall into the categories of the mainstream religions. We believe we have a mother and a father. Such as Wiccans and American Indians. There are others but I am having a brain fry now cause I"m in a hurry. We worship the earth and the seasons of the year. The mother and the father are our symbols of the One true creator, as a Christians is God. Wiccans can be Witches but not all Witches are Wiccans. Wiccans are Pagans, but Witches are usually Pagans but not always. Have I confused you real good? Tommorrow, go outside look at the trees, the earth, the animals, The Father Sun feel the peace and tranquility and the love. There, you have been Pagan for a moment. Look at the Mother Moon in wonder, the nighttime sounds and sights. There, you have been Pagan for a Moment. Bright Blessings to You

Here is an answer from an initiated witch: Our basic belief is based on the polarity of energies. Both female and male. Our creator is the Goddess and she has a consort the God. Now here is the difference, all witches are pagan but not all pagans are witches. The term wiccan means a believer in an earth based belief. A witch practices witchcraft and is part of some established tradition (with the exception of solitaries, or solo studiers). However not all wiccans practice such but believe in the male and female divine. Here are some urls to help you out. They are excellent sources of info and are reliable.

Wicca is centered around reverence for Nature. Nature being the Mother and Father that created us and everything in the universe. We sometimes call ourselves witches, because we practice magick if we so wish, but we are not all about witchcraft. Magick is an acceptable part of our religion, but it is not the only thing that defines us. We believe that we will be reincarnated until we have reached spiritual perfection, and when we do reach it, we will reside in the lands of eternal summer with the Mother and Father. We also believe that what ever you do, good or bad, will come back on you times three. Which means if you do a good deed, it will come back to you three times as strong. If you do a bad deed, it will come back on you three times as strong. We do not believe that there is a god of good, and a god of evil, I.E. Christianity's God and Satan. We believe that there is a good side and a bad side to everything, meaning that a person choses what they wish to do, good or bad. We believe in personal responsibility, we are the ones to blame for our actions, and no one or nothing else was involved. It was a concious decision. We don't say the devil made us do it. Hope this helps you. As you can see we do not sacrafice animals and babies. Our basic law is "And harm none, do what thou will". Blessed be, and merry meet.

Pagan is an umbrella term for wiccans, witches, asatru, any of the non-Abrahamic religions. Earth-centered spirituality. Like Christian is an umbrella term for Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, etc.
We really don't have a basic set of beliefs because we each do things our own way. It's a personal, one-on-one spirituality, between the person and their gods. The phrase "to each his/her own" applies very well to us.
The differences between us are very minute.
We don't believe in a devil, we do our best to watch our karma by not harming others, and we don't preach that our way is the only way. Other than that, you could ask 100 pagans and you'll get 100 answers. And they are all correct.

Wiccans "pray" to the Goddess. Women are the center or the Wiccans. They love nature, like the pagans, and do cast spells but only for good. They DO NOT practice what is called black magic. On the whole the Wiccans I have known have been very nice people, and in their own way spiritual
