Why is it that we Christians,Jews, Muslims,Hindu's, Buddahists,Pagans, Wiccans, Agnostics, and Aethists {And anyone else I forgot to mention} can't just learn to play nice and ask honest respectful questions. Surely we are mature enough and secure enough in our beliefs and theories to play nice?

And for the record I am trying personally to question and answer in a more polite manner myself. We can all learn from each other. That is a lesson that I have learned from some people here on Yahoo Answers.

Sometimes I think everyone in this world needs a spanking. If my sons fought as much as everyone here I think I would go insane.

Rodney King, the man in California who was tasered and beaten by the police a few years ago, said something along those lines, but to answer your true question, ignorance it the cause of worldly unrest in all its forms. If a person is able to truly come to understand another person, hatred evaporates.

World peace sounds wonderful. The ultimate goal.
Let me ask then. What did Chancellor Adolf Hitler wish as his ultimate goal?
It was world peace......but only after he could become its supreme ruler.
I feel world peace cannot be achieved by peaceful means...
..at least for the foreseeable future.
I dearly wish that were not the case, however our very human nature has sealed our fate.
We are both the beast and the angel. That's what makes our human family so unique and so troubled.
