1 Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.

2 Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3 Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

4 Straight marriage has been around long time and hasn’t changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can’t marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5 Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Brittany Spears’ 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6 Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn’t be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren’t full yet, and the world needs more children.

7 Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

8 Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That’s why we have only one religion in America.

9 Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That’s why we as a society expressly
forbid single parents to raise children.

10 Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven’t adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

I am a Christian man and I don't really like the idea of gay marriage. That's just a personal belief. I can't imagine the idea of being attracted to a man instead of a woman. From a religious standpoint, marriage is a union of two people(man and woman) with the blessing of God. It is a religious ceremony that does not infringe upon the rights of anyone and therefore the government can have no say in the matter. If a religion were to decide that gay marriages are ok in the eyes of God then they could perform such ceremonies and not be interfered with by the government. From strictly a secular, legal standpoint a marriage is a contractual agreement entered into by two parties that does not infringe upon the rights of either party or a third party. The government has no say in that matter either. A ban on gay marriage would be unconstitutional. My personal beliefs, religious or otherwise, shouldn't factor into this matter. Christians are just going to have to get used to it. A legally married gay couple does not infringe upon the rights of anybody. Gays can't damage the
"institution" of marriage any more than us heterosexuals can. Very funny top ten list, I almost started to take it seriously.

there is no constitutional right to be married, therefore, it is not unconstitutional for gay marriages!!! also, where did you get the idea that divorce is illegal??? are you in america? because its perfectly legal here. not all straight couples produce children so does that mean that their marriage is invalid???? also, you said that straight couples produce only straight children. that doesnt make any sense because only a man and a woman can create a baby therefore, straight couples have to be accounted for most of the gays in America!!! think before you type!!! our orphanages arent full?? they are WAY too full! one child is one too many! children also need to be adopted and I am sure that a gay person is just as capable of raising a child as a straight. my uncle is gay and has raised 3 wonderful daughters that are grown now and are perfectly fine. also my best friend in the whole world is a lesbian and she would make an awesome mom someday if she ever decided to adopt. she is so good with children. I am christian and one think that i have learned is to accept everyone for who they are! dont judge people by only one characteristic! dont judge people at all!

oh and its spelled Britney not Brittany

Because Hetero society, despite it's shorcomings is real, and it grows. Homos live in a fantasy. The only way homos can reproduce, is to pretend to be hetero for a moment, and then it's back to their real fantasy life. Recruiting new members for a homo society from among the young, is a crime against a real, and sustainable society.

Homo society is not symbiotic, it's parasitic.

Why don't you try do something significant, like legalizing weed. At least theirs no victim...

Wow! I'm glad I got that off my chest! I know I'm intolerant on this point. You just don't know how many gay friends I have, and how stupid they think this idea is.
Sorry for the lecture....

Why are you asking for a religious perspective on law? According to Christianity, gay marriage is against God's law, which is higher than the law of the land. But as Americans we are not obliged to follow the law of God. Instead, the law of the land is determined largely by politicians, who tend to favor the majority of the population. As long as the popular view of the people sways in a particular direction, the laws of the land will likely follow.

Are you against Blacks because of there skin? Are you against Muslims because they have a belief in Muhammad? If you do you're a Racist and Anti-Semetic. God never wanted people being Anti-Semetic. Gay people are gay people. They do not harm us. They do different things than we do, but so? It's none of your business what they do. Stop making gay people sound like demons, it's ridiculous.

Marriage vows are sacred . The marriage ceremony is
Holy Matrimony where it states,'Do you take this MAN to
be your lawful wedded husband?" and to the man "Do you
take this WOMAN to be your lawful wedded wife?" At the
end of the marriage vows the minister or the person
marrying the couple, says ," I now pronounce you
MAN and WIFE.
