I was nearly killed by a doctors carelesness last week. I just wanted to know how long does a malpractice case take to process, and is it worth the trouble?

Yes, I already know I will need a good lawyer. I was just wondering how long the entire process takes, and if the "little guy" ever wins against the big powerfull doctors with their high-power, big-budget lawyers?

I am in the process of law suit with a doctor for malpractice. I had my first operation in Nov. 2004 and then had trouble. I contacted a lawyer in Jan. 2005. We are still waiting to hear something. They told me as of August 10 this year that it would soon be coming to a close. It takes a while and unfortunately depending on where you live there are laws like tort reform. This means you can only wins so much. There is a limit put on pain and suffering settlements. Hope that helps you.

you've not any case. It became YOUR decision to purchase an over the counter drug particularly than the prescription. OTC drugs are a lot less effective and are not a similar because the prescription. also, the first difficulty the decide ought to ask you is...why you persevered the drug for 4 months without contacting your health care specialist about your damaging consequences.

You'll have to find a lawyer who specializes in that.
